ExCEL Report 4: ARCHI WOLD CUP 2022

Throughout the event, I discovered the following graduation attributes:

1. Critical thinking and problem-solving.
2. Team working.
3. Communication Skills
4. Leadership

This particular activity was held from the 15th to the 17th of December 2022, from 8 p.m. to 6 p.m., and was entirely organised by the Architech Committee UTM. . This programme was organised by the UTM Architech Committee to increase the collaboration among all architecture students. This programme encourages us to participate in all of the planned activities.

Archileague 2023 was held in person, with all students from master's to first year bachelor's participating. Sports such as Netabll, Futsal, Frisbee, Voleyball, and others. Students are challenged to compete in their own batch's name. Due to my knee injury, I volunteered to be the referee for the frisbee and tug of war matches.

Aside from that, the graduate traits emphasised in this activity are communication abilities, which include how they communicate and plan all of the activities for everyone to enjoy. Leadership skill are also important as I am required to supervise both games to ensure all teams play fair and the event runs smoothly.

Through this programme, I have learned various skills that would help me in my future endeavours. Communication is vital in creating a cohesive team and in supervising a tournament to ensure both team receive a fair judgement. It takes critical-thinking to reach an equal decision, without showing any bias towards a single party. Leadership is also required espeacially when an arguement is made, as a referee, i must lead both oppositions into an equal agreement and carry on with the game. I would certainly participate in such an event if given the chance as it matures me as a leader.
