Graduate Attributes
In this activity, I did learn many graduate attributes that I did feel comfortable with and I will talk about each one n the following part.
1. Communication Skills:
I did communicate with many students, lecturers, and even some professors with a huge amount of experience. The communication skills in this activity can be summed by saying that I did get benefited by a great deal by communicating with many people with various backgrounds.
2. Thinking Skills:
During this event, I am sure that all of the participants did use thinking skills such as brainstorming and future thinking. Since the event was mainly about the vision of UTM from 2021 to 2025.
3. Scholarship:
Yes, this event did provide some information about the real-life impact of this event on our society, especially the academic life in Malaysia.
4. Leadership and Teamworking Skills:
For me, I do know that I have good leadership skills, and that came from my experience through academic life. But it is clear that I did learn a lot about teamwork skills while I was in this event even as a normal participant and I did really enjoy that as I said before in the communication part.
5. Adaptability:
When it comes to adaptability I need to give a short definition about it first, it does mean your capability to learn any new skills whatever the circumstances you face. Clearly, this event shows that easily by the ability to conduct this whole event virtually during the Covid19 period.
6. Global Citizen:
I did feel that the most since I am mainly from Egypt and I do live in Saudi Arabia right now. So with that in mind, you can see that I felt that I need to participate as a global citizen during this event.
7. Enterprising Skills:
When it comes to enterprising skills, clearly I can say that I did learn how to conduct Strategic thinking skills by joining this event. But how is that possible and no one did talk about it during this event? The answer is that the whole event is mainly a big Strategic Thinking project as UTM has a strategy to follow for the following years until 2025.

When it comes to this event we can see that it was mainly about future planning for UTM from 2021 until 2025 which is really great especially for a famous university as UTM. This virtual event did focus on the strategic planning skill which is a very crucial graduate attribute to learn and refine. Moreover, the communication during this event was conducted professionally, as I said before in the graduate attribute part we can also notice the adaptability concept being applied for the whole event by being able to conduct it in a virtual hall and including many sub-activities in it. The event had an opening ceremony, main talk session, Department Strategies Confirmation, Strategies Refinement, Prize ceremony, and closing ceremony. The opening ceremony included the basic information about the event, while the closing ceremony did summarize the whole event in a great manner honestly. The main parts of the event, it was really informative with many future planning ideas and expected achievements. I hope that report gives a clear idea about the event.
Self-reflection
In this part, I will talk about my experience during this event. let's start by how did this event affect or impacted me, the event was truly very informative and straightforward to understand and I do really love that type of event. It did enhance my communication skills by a huge deal since I am not that social person but I felt that all participants were kind and had a great attitude during the whole activity. Strategic planning now is actually one of my strong points and that is actually because I did attend this event. In the time of conducting this event, I had the challenge to attend it in the first place due to my tight timeline, but I tried my best and succeeded to participate in it which gave me self-confidence at that time. So as a reflection, I did love and really enjoyed attending this virtual hall conducted by UTM.
