Reflection
Welcome to IET talk was personally very beneficial for me. IET talk has outlined many important information that is beneficial for any engineering related field students like me. Even though the talk was brief, the talk has widened my vision and plan for my future after I have graduated. I have informed of the career paths and opportunities that Institute of Engineering can provide to assist me in obtaining my certification as a certified engineer from the Board of Engineering Malaysia (BEM) whether it is certified graduate engineer or professional engineer title. I realized that even though I already had a future plan for my engineering career, there are still more opportunities that I haven’t knew yet in the engineering field. This talk demands me to think critically and increases my thinking skills to plan my future and career in a bigger picture towards the engineering field. Furthermore, it also teaches me enterprising skills by analyzing the market for engineering opportunities and the qualifications requirements. It became clear to me after the talk that I should search for more opportunities and qualifications in the engineering market in the future to open new career paths for myself.
