SECI2143 - PROBABILITY AND STATISTICAL DATA ANALYSIS

First of all, I would like to extend my gratitude to Dr. Chan Weng Howe, my lecturer for the course Probability and Statistical Data Analysis this semester. I am grateful to have him as my lecturer, as he is a very thoughtful and impactful lecturer for us students.

            This Probability and Statistical Data Analysis course is one of my favorite courses because of my interests in statistics and data analysis. The syllabus I learned from this course is very helpful to me as a Data Engineering student and it also makes me think differently about the world of statistics. As for the assessment for this course, I am blessed to have good group members which are Muhaimin, Farah, and Naqieb. They all are very helpful and together we managed to complete our assessments such as assignments and projects.

            Our latest assessment and project, Project 2, required us to conduct an inference statistical analysis that covers analysis such as hypothesis testing 1 sample or 2 samples, correlation testing, regression testing, and optional analysis such as goodness of fit test, chi-square test of independence, or ANOVA. For this project, we used a dataset of students that consist of different variables such as gender, race, parental level of education, math score, reading score, writing score, etc. Our lecturer, Dr. Chan Weng Howe, is very helpful to us because he explained this project in detail to us and is open to any questions from his students. My group and I implement everything that we have learned from this course for this project and personally, I think it is a fun process to be able to apply what we have learned in a real-life situation.
