Design Thinking Assignment
A group assignment where we had to do 3 tasks related to design thinking. The first one was the report where we had to write in detail about a topic that we chose and describe the design thinking process and the different steps that we did to achieve a certain goal.
We decided that we wanted to make an E-commerce app for this assignment so we had to show all the steps on how we made that app. We were also asked to give our reflections and write about our goals and dreams.
The second task was to create a video about the design thinking process of our app making. We included videos and pictures of our online group meetings,
We had to attend a meeting with a UTM staff member that answered our questions regarding our topic and then we included those answers in the video. We also demonstrated how the app that we made works in the prototype step using an adobe acrobat reader. Then we showed our results and answers to the survey that we conducted a week before the submission. We sent this survey to several UTM groups so that the students and UTM staff members could answer them.
The third assessment was for us to create a video regarding one of the chapters in the TIS subject. Our group was assigned chapter 2 that was titled The Internet, The Web, and Electronic Commerce. Each of us chose a certain number of pages in the chapter and had to record giving a presentation about them using slides he or she already made and added information to. The maximum duration of the video was 30 minutes and our video was 29:59 minutes long.
Design Thinking Video
PC Assembly Report
For this group assignment, we were asked to write a report on the process of PC building. We divided the subtopics among us and each of us did our own research then we compiled it together in a report. I wrote the part we had to give examples and write about some of the main tools that you can need to assemble a PC.
Alumni Sharing Session
In this assignment, we had to attend an online session held by the school of computing where they brought students who already graduated from UTM who answers our questions regarding the university and gave us very useful advice. After that, we were asked to work in a group and write a newspaper report regarding the alumni session.
Literature Review on Cloud Computing Service Providers
In this report, we were given specific instructions on how to write this report. We were to do research on 3 famous cloud computing service providers (Microsoft Azure, Amazon EC2, and Google Cloud) and then write a literature review comparing the 3 service providers.
Mind Maps + Class Activities
We had several class activities where we had to design a mind map to summarize a given topic

(Week 3) : A mind map about chapter 2 The Internet, The Web, and Electronic Commerce.
- Week4: Each group member had to choose between 4 topics given by the lecturer. Secondary storage, system unit, system software, and input & output. During class, each expert group consists of students with the same topic held a meeting to divide the slides between us. We then had to make a mind map for each subtopic and then explain to our original group members about our findings and the mind map we made.

- Week 6 Activity (MInd Map):
In this activity, each group is assigned a specific number of slides in chapters 8,9, and 10. We then as a group divided the slides among us and each presented their part in the class.

Industrial 4.0: Past, Present, Future
Unfortunately, because of the covid 19 pandemics, this talk was held online on software called Cisco Webex. In this group assignment, we were asked to attend this webinar and then design a poster and summarize the contents of the talk. We also had to include our opinions and views on the talk. We used a Graphic design software called Adobe Illustrator to make the poster.
Industrial talk 2 :The Importance and Trending of IT Project Management
For the second industrial talk, it was also held online. In this assignment, however, we had to write a 2-page report not make a poster like the first industrial talk assignment. The main points we had to write about in the report were the importance of IT project management and the trending in IT project management.
