AWS

The journey of getting the AWS badge and my reflections

The AWS Certificate

MY BADGE

MY JOURNEY

It all started at the beginning of the semester when I noticed the AWS course in the course details. When I first saw it, I had no idea what this course was for or what the AWS was. Dr. Halinawati informs us that we have this course two weeks before the semester break, and then she offers us a google form to fill out in order for us to be considered for the course. Unlikely throughout the semester break, I was preoccupied, thus I made no progress in the course. We had so many tests after the semester break that I didn't make any progress. Following the testing, we were assigned a TIS group project part one in which we were required to employ a form of cloud architecture; at the time, I had no idea what cloud architecture was. After that, I began viewing the course, and my comprehension of cloud computing improved day by day until I completed the course on March 1, 2022. After I finished, I received the badge, and I was overjoyed for two reasons: first, I had gained an extensive understanding of the could calculate, and second, I had completed a significant portion of the TIS course.

REFLECTION

A summary of what you have gained from the course

What I gained from the AWS course is an intermediate knowledge about cloud computing like what is a cloud computing architecture that we look at in module 6. Also, we learned how to use AWS cloud services at an advanced level like how to calculate the cost and how to choose the right cloud computing architecture provided by AWS.

What was my motivation to complete the course?

The way the course is designed and how everything is presented in detail to get the idea motivated me to finish it. There are also some exercises to put your knowledge to the test.

Should all companies apply for cloud computing?

I think yes because of all of the advantages of cloud computing, the variety of options they are provided from the cloud services. Whether they prefer privacy, capacity, or control.

The badge

Overall the badge is worth all the time that has been spent in this course. Also, after completing this course, it will open up many files to work on in the future.

Is it compulsory for computer sciences students?

I think the answer to this question should be yes for many reasons. First, nowadays cloud computing becomes a very important part of our digital world, so it should be compulsory for computer sciences students to know what cloud computing is and get a deep understanding of how could computing is working, why we need it, and how to improve for the future.

In the end, this was my first course, and it was a positive experience. I also have some suggestions for people who haven't finished it yet. My friends, this course is critical in the field of computer science and should be completed as soon as feasible.
