  The list of activities:

  Exhibition by participating companies:

  It is anticipated to have an involvement of at least 20 companies in this event. There are several companies that are interested to seek for new blood of employment  through this event such as Fibertech, Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Sdn Bhd (MMHE), Dsn Advanced Technology (M) Sdn Bhd, Maxis, PH Petrol S/B, and so forth.

  Through this event, the students would be able to keep abreast with the latest development of the career of interest and examine for the requirements of the prospective employers regarding the qualities of the sought-after employees.

  Note that for this activities, resume drop is an important part and the third and fourth year students should not miss out the opportunity to promote themselves to the real industries to increase the likelihood of employment in the future.

  Resume writing workshop:

  Conducted by Associate Prof Dr Firdausi, this workshop serves to impart essential techniques to write a complete and impressive resume and paperwork with appropriate format. All students are encouraged to get involved in this useful session. The permitted participation is limited due to the constraint of the room size. Hence, early birds would eat the worms!

   

  Integrity Forum:

  A representative of MACC (Malaysia Anti-Corruption Committee) {Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM)} is invited to have a forum on integrity and work ethics that should be possessed by every prospective graduates. Work ethics are important to ensure that the engineering projects are conducted in safe mode and in accordance to the standards and rules, or avoid any kind of violation to these precautions and corruptions which may cause hazards or thwart the project progression.

   

  Mock interview:

  Designed to be a simulating scenario of attending the job application interview, it will be held at the syndicate rooms (Sultan Ibrahim Canseleri Building, UTM). The time and duration  the slot would be updated later on. The students should attend such activity to brush up their skills to interact confidently with the interviewers, and to give appropriate responses within a short timeframe.

   

  Career talk:

  IEM UTM (The Institution of Engineers Malaysia) is invited to give a career talk and most probably students would be able to obtain the updated information on the career scenarios in the realm of engineering in Malaysia; and what they should have done to make themselves stand out from the others (be impressive, reliable, knowledgeable, etc..

   

  These are the major events in this programme and are accompanied by the Lucky Draw for all visitors. The number is attached to the front cover of the pamphlet  distributed to every each visitor, and the lucky one would get the special gift.
