Type of communication technique
Verbal communication
- Most common communication technique between sender and receiver.
- Word must be used.
- Using strong, clear and confident speaking voice and the right tone.
- The receiver must use active listening.
- Avoid fillers such “aaaaahhh, hmmmmm”.
- Slangs must also be avoided during formal communication.
Written communication
- Written communication is to convey ideas in across in writing.
- Written is done more better by us compared to spoken because of the application and redoing of the sentences which make it prefect.
- Use of short sentence which clear points.
- Proper use of grammar and punctuation.
- Active voice must be used while writing.
Nonverbal communication
- Action while communicating verbally such as body movement, making eye contact, different tone of voice, using facial expression and be aware of personal space and intrude it. Space is also know as “know your limit while communicating”.
- Keep good posture.
Visual communication
- Using of visual aid during presentation to enhances or to allow better understanding of the viewer so that message given is clear.
Interpersonal communication
- Main content of communication
- The exchange of idea, feelings and information back and forth with the group of people that we’re communicating to with using communication technique mentioned before this.
- Must pay full attention to the communication don’t matter whom or where
- Technologies in the current era, distract people from the communication such as the mobile device.
- This is known as noise.
- When a person is not sincere while communicating, it is very obvious and rude.
How can you be good communicator
- Be sincere while communicating with other people with paying full attention and understanding their contents.
- Use body language during communication most importantly during presentation. Make eye contact with the receiver with this, you can get through them more easily.
- Use wise tone while communicating because some people might talk naturally loud but other might assume he’s shouting and disturbing them.
- Receive and give back feedback while communicating.
- Remove device or object that is being a distract while communicating with others such as a mobile.
Barriers to effective communication
- Physical barriers, something is blocking physically.
- Perceptual barriers, its something that we perceive the other person would not like to communicate or hears us but this is this just a perception which need to be removed
- Emotional barriers
- Language barrier, don’t understand the language spoken of the others or our spoken language are not understandable by others.
- Gender Barriers
- Religious Barriers
