1.Who is a scholar and a true scholar?

A scholar is a person who goes after academic and intellectual activities, specifically those that develop an expertise in a field of study. Other than that, a scholar is also someone who constantly pursuing knowledge, a well-educated person, tend to use empirical evidence to draw conclusion and specialist in a particular branch.

A true scholar is a scholar who shows traits that push them consistently to strive for excellence. In addition, a true scholar is also a scholar that relies on science and logic, stays humble no matter how high their level of success, simply approaches different ideas with an open mind, and lastly, persevere in the face of difficulty.

2.What is the qualities of scholar that the organization looks for?

The qualities of a scholar that an organization always looks for are passion, confidence, abilities to be a team player, have the ethics and integrity, composure, have the analytical skills, open-mindedness, humble, foresight, and also last but not least productivity.

3.How do you can become a scholar?

We can become a scholar by first, getting a college education, then having the mindset as a scholar, learning outside of the system, try not to procrastinate, by identifying our potential, weaknesses, and strengths, to find and follow our own pace, be patient, be a considerate and kind person always and also choose our word wisely every time we speak to others.

5.How to boost up your inquisitive mind?

I can boost up my inquisitive mind by having the mentality of always giving the best out of me in everything that I do. I can also learn from the mistakes that I have made in the past by not doing the same mistakes again and being a better person in the future. Furthermore, I can practice having a clear mindset every time I wake up in the morning so that I can go through the rest of my day patiently and with calmness no matter what the obstacles are. Lastly, I need to have the urge to always ask questions for me to gain more knowledge either through formal or informal learning so that I can widen my scope of knowledge and experiences. This is because we can not assume that we know everything and the fact that we live in a world full of wonders make it stronger for us to always learn new things.

6.Write a summary of the speech which was inspiring you to become a scholar?

Based on the speech titled “Who is a true “Scholar”? – Scholarship Skills” that I had participated in which was given by Professor Ts. Dr. Zaidatun Tasir had taught me a lot to become a great and successful scholar. Dr. Zaidatun mentioned that to become a good scholar, it is not only to have a scholarly skill but also to have confidence in ourselves in everything that we do, stay focused, and work hard on our chosen field of study. The explanation about the qualities of a scholar that an organization looks for and the tips of what can we do to become a successful scholar strengthen my will to become a successful scholar. In addition, the ability to learn about developing a growth mind also inspired me to become a scholar. Thus, by becoming a successful and great scholar, we will gain more knowledge and experience that can contribute to other organizations and can give a lot of benefits to other people as well as our life-long learning experience.
