Who is a true 'Scholar'?

1. Who is a scholar and a true scholar?

A scholar is a person who pursues academic and intellectual activities, particularly those that develop expertise in an area of study. Moreover, a scholar is a well-educated person and a specialist in a particular branch of knowledge. They usually utilize empirical evidence to draw their conclusions and take a scientific and well-reasoned approach to their work at all times. Meanwhile, a true scholar possesses traits that push them to continually strive for excellence. They persevere in the face of difficulty. Also, a true scholar always relies on science and logic. They will keep themselves humble no matter their successes. 

 

2. What is the qualities of scholar that organization looks for?

The qualities of scholar that organization looks for are passion, confidence, composure, enthusiasm, ability to be a team player, analytical skills, foresight, ethics and integrity, productivity, open-mindedness and humble.

 

3. How do you can become a scholar?

The way to become a scholar is a person must have a deep passion for intellectual exploration. During the journey to become a scholar, we will learn, stumble, and be challenged by difficulty. If we manage to overcome the challenges along the way, we may have a chance at becoming a scholar. Also, we must try to emulate the qualities of other successful scholars to ensure we are on the right path. Next, we can join internship program to learn the ropes from a true expert. We must not procrastinate when completing our task. Moreover, we need to know our weaknesses as well as strengths. Getting our college education by having specific goals from the beginning is vital. We need to get the scholar mindset by practicing 5W1H. Learning outside of the system by learn from other people and take classes may help us to become a scholar. Lastly, body language ethics is important by dressing like a scholar.

5. How to boost up your inquisitive mind?

Ways to boost up our inquisitive mind are curious and seeks out new knowledge and often ask questions. We must foster a "give it a try" mentality. It is important to enter a situation with a clear mind. We must avoid to assume we know how everything works. Next, we encourage to diversify our interests and let ourselves be amazed of everything. Last but not least, we can boost up our inquisitive mind by practicing 5W1H in our daily life. 

 

6. Write a summary of the speech which was inspiring you to become a scholar. 

Based on the inaugural speech delivered by Prof Ts Dr. Zaidatun, the thing that motivates me the most is that we need to gain knowledge endlessly to become a true scholar. The process of becoming a scholar takes a long time and even determination is the key to that success. Indirectly, we can develop an inquisitive mind. For instance, we could practice 5W1H in our daily lives as well as the aptitude to seek and manage relevant information from a variety of sources. Therefore, there must be a deep passion for intellectual exploration. An organization will also search for a scholar who has decent attributes such as the ability to be a team player and enthusiasm. As a Gen-Z who is more inclined towards the digital world, the advantages we can obtain such as aspire to create something as well as competitive are very different compared to the previous generation. Getting college education, a scholar mindset, learning outside of the system and practicing body language ethics are vital in order for someone to become a scholar. In all, we as the new generation need to gain knowledge continuously without procrastination to become a scholar as the world of education itself needs us.
