1. Who is a scholar and a true scholar?
A scholar is someone who pursues academic and intellectual activities particularly those that develop expertise in a specific area of study. They use empirical evidence to draw their conclusions and take a scientific and well-reasoned approach to their work at all times. While for true scholars, they are people who possess traits that push them to continually strive for excellence. They use empirical evidence to draw their conclusions. Also, they were the people who persevere, rely on science and logic, approach ideas with an open mind, and stay humble no matter their success.

3. How do you become a scholar?
First and foremost, why do we need to develop scholar thinking? Because the most important aspect of becoming a scholar is our ability to think critically. The distinction between a student and a scholar is that the student is always figuring out and exploring their own intellectual capacity. They will learn, stumble, and be confronted by adversity along the way. If they can overcome the obstacles in their path, they will be successful. Also if we want to be scholars, we must first be ourselves. Don't procrastinate, find and follow your own pace, understand your strengths and weaknesses, choose your words carefully, be considerate, and, of course, have bravery and kindness.

6. Write a summary of the speech which was inspiring you to become a scholar?
Based on the speech, given by Prof Ts Dr. Zaidatun, what inspires me to become a scholar is that we will learn about cultivating a growth mentality by being scholars. Scholars are also curious people who want to know more and are constantly trying to figure out why things work the way they do. We will improve our mind and thinking skills by being curious about something. Being a scholar also teaches us the value of sharing our expertise. Hopefully, by doing so, I hope I would be able to benefit myself for becoming a scholar as well as contributing to the nation and my university, UTM.
