1. Who is a scholar and a true scholar?

• A person who purses academic and intellectual activities, particularly those that develop expertise in an area of study. A scholar is a learned or well-educated person and specialist in a particular branch of knowledge. They use empirical evidence to draw their conclusions and always take a scientific and well-reasoned approach to their work.
• True scholars possess traits that push them to continually strive for excellence. They use empirical evidence to draw their conclusions. They are persevered, especially in the face of difficulty. They rely on science and logic. They are always approaching ideas with an open mind. True scholarship is the highest form of academic achievement.

2. What is the qualities of scholar that organization looks for?

3. How do you can become a scholar?

• As a student, we are in the process of identifying and pursuing our own intellectual potential. First, to become a scholar, we need the determination in learning. We need to be sharp and full concentration on our target. We can learn the lesson to become a successful scholar from the expert around us. For example, our lecturer, we can try to emulate their qualities and try to nurture these qualities within ourselves. We need to be passionately curious to everything that we do understand as much as possible. The road to become a scholar is never have a destination except the end of our life. Other than that, we need to know our weakness and strength to become a scholar. The attitude of facing our mistake is an important quality that we need. Never afraid to made mistake, foster a “give it a try” mentality. We should be happy if we can recognize our own mistake because that means we can improve ourselves to a better level. We need to have a clear mind about our target. A scholar is always modest and humble. Arrogant will become the obstacle to learn new knowledge. So, we need to keep humble not matter how much we had learned.

5. How to boost up your inquisitive mind?

• Inquisitive mind is the ability to listen and consider the ideas and experiences of your team and aptitude to go without sleep. An inquisitive mind is one that is curious and seeks out new knowledge. A person with inquisitive minds often asks questions and seek honest detailed answers. When we meet any problem or question, just find the way to solve it, do not assume you know how everything works or even worst just ignore the question. Next, always prepare us to step out from the comfort zone or those area that we are familiar with. We can diversity our interests, make a habit of try something new in every day. For example, we can set a target like today me need to be better yesterday. Develop a critical thinking skill by using the tips 5W1H. Work in team is very important too. We can share opinions or idea with each other can make us be open minded. Iron sharpen iron, same goes for the mind of people.  

6. Write a summary of the speech which was inspiring you to become a scholar?

• 21^st century is a century of quick development of technology and digital world. As a generation Z student, we have totally different learning ways compare to generation before. We are described as the first “digital native”, it brings us a lot of advantage. Nowadays, we can access to various information and knowledge limitlessly through the vast internet. When we search something on the internet, and it will display on the screen with just moving of our fingers. So, take the benefits of the internet to become a smarter student.
• Today’s speech inspired me to remember a quote that I had seen, “stay hungry, stay foolish”. We all should always be thirsty on knowledge eagerly. After we understand the characteristics of a true scholar, we should try to practice them in our life, not just make them be theoretical only. The world is not push forward by politician or capitalist, but those with deep passion about knowledge like, Albert Einstein, Ibn Sina and Steve Jobs. In a nutshell, we all need to try hard to become a true scholar to facing the challenge in our road to realistic our mission and dream.
