  1. Who is a scholar and a true scholar?

A scholar is a person who decides to learn, read about world as much as he/she can, they also must expertise in particular area of study and they can cope with everything that they have learned. Meanwhile, a true scholar refers to a person who is modest and humble person. They are willing to learn from other people and maintain good services in society and humanities. They also have courage in drawing conclusion to face difficulty. They can create and design new ideas by trying to think outside the box.

  1. What are the qualities of scholar that organization looks for?

There are many qualities of scholar that organization looks for such as:

  • Passion,
  • Confidence
  • Composure
  • Enthusiasm
  • Ability to be a team player
  • Analytical skills
  • Foresight
  • Ethics and integrity
  • Productivity
  • Open-mindedness
  • Humble
  1. How do you can become a scholar?

We can be a scholar with learning outside the system which we are trying to enrich our knowledge by practically such as read a lot, teach yourself and learn from other people. Getting the scholar mindset can be gained when you change your mind, keep asking questions, love and ready to learn, avoid bias and fully form opinions. Procrastination should not be practice because we can become demotivated and disillusioned with our work which can lead stress and depression. Then, finding our own rhythm also important because only us know what are our strength and weakness so we manage to cope with problems. Moreover, choose our words wisely as we need to interact with many people with different thinking and emotions. We can improve ourselves when we are getting college education because through it, we can spend time to study, have specifics goals to achieve, take the right classes, befriend with professors and do scholarly activities.

  1. How to boost up your inquisitive mind?

The ways to boost our inquisitive minds can be often seeks out new knowledge by having a higher curiosity and keep making friends so that we can find detailed answers for the questions. Celebrating mistakes also helps in boosting our minds as we are in learning process so that can improve ourselves to be much better. It is because there is someone who knows more than us so we need to clear our mind and trying to accept others opinions. Diversity our interests to make us enjoy and fun when going through the learning process and we will be able to be open-minded and confident. By the way, we will be amazed at everyday thing and excited to learn and expose for new ideas.

  1. Write a summary of the speech which was inspiring you to become a scholar?

According to the speech that given by Prof. Dr. Zaidatun Tasir, I have learnt about an important role that impact to society when we are being a scholar. We can give back a good service for society and humanities, be kind to all people and do not afraid to learn and ask a lot of questions. It is because we are going through a learning process and it is fine to make mistakes as we can improve ourselves from day by day.   Then, sometimes there is someone who knows more than we do thus , we should take opportunities to learn with them. Learning process will never stop until we close our eyes. So, keep learning and have a curiosity in everything as it is essential for our existence.
