Reflection UKQF 2552
21 December 2019, 1:47 PM
I was very happy to be accepted in the Table Tennis Club as it was my first choice for my Curriculum Course. I liked to play Ping Pong since primary school but when I entered high school, I’m not be able to improve my skills on Ping Pong because my previous high school does not offer any Ping Pong clubs. Luckily. UTM offers Table Tennis Course, therefore I quickly register myself into this course. My expectations on this course is that students will be playing Ping Pong every week but for this course we not only focused on teaching skills but we need to do the community service. I gained some technique on playing Ping Pong such as smashing and rules for services. Before this, I play Ping Pong without knowing the rules.
The activities that I liked the most for this course is Ping Pong Challenges. The challenges not only emphasize on winning the challenge but it also teaches us the attitude of a player when playing the games. For instance, we must always calm as it helped player to stay focus on the games to avoid doing any mistakes. Its also strengthen the bond, improve our communication skills and the teamwork between groupmate as all students comes from different state and different faculty.
Next, our service learning was held on 13th November 2019 at SK TEMENGGONG ABDUL RAHMAN 1. It was a very fun programme as the students there a very friendly and energetic. My group in charge of games and we divided it to 5 stations. I was very happy to see the students enjoyed our programme and big thanks to all my classmates as we all had done the best to make the Kembara Ping Pong programme successful. I hope the students gained some knowledge and interest in playing Ping Pong.
Lastly, I would to thank our lecturer Dr Zulkepli and assistant lecturer Mr. Mohd Edzskandar for teaching us patiently the technique of playing Ping Pong. Now, I can play Ping Pong confidently and maybe joining any competition after this. I also would like to recommend this course to my friends or junior as this course is fun and the lecturer also treat the students nice.
