Reflection for this course UKQS2062 2019/2020-01

20 December 2019, 4:17 AM

I have joined this course UKQS2062 Ping Pong for session 2019/2020-1. The experiences throughout this course were great and I had learnt lots of knowledge about ping pong. I was also able to improve my skills in ping pong. For your information, playing ping pong is my hobby since primary school but I just play it just for fun. After that I went to matric, I took ping pong as a co-curriculum subject. From that day I play ping pong with my classmates every evening. After I finish my matric, I have nobody to play with.

I have three choices to choose as a co-curriculum course but I choose all three is ping pong. I am very happy when I know that I got what I want which is this course UKQS2062. At first class, I little bit disappointed because what I imagine is we came to class just to play ping pong but in the first class I have to hear about Service Learning from my lecturer En.Zulkepli and En.Edzkandar.But after a few weeks, En. Zul and Sir Edz already teach us how to play ping pong. At that time, I really excited because want to improve my skill that not good enough. Not only the skill, but I also know every single thing about ping pong. This includes the basic things such as the ball dimension, table dimension, net height and right specification of a racket to be eligible for entering a tournament. I also know about the racket grip technique which is penhold and handshake.

I gain new knowledge and skill every week. Even though I love to play ping pong but I still not familiar about the rules such as toss the ball at least 6 inches vertically and must behind the server line. So here in this course, En Zul and Sir Edz also tell us the right way to do serve and also the technique for strokes and push.  I just want to say that I think I already improved on how to controlled the ball using my backhand and handshake too. For your information, I dare my self to join ping pong UTM Games and I just not believe that I got a bronze medal for the first time. For me, this is a good start and I will improve my skill. Thanks to both of my lecturer.

In a nutshell, we have done our Service Learning at STAR1. For Service Learning, I apply back what En. Zul and Sir Edz already teach in class and just share our knowledge with students STAR1. All of these things should be a little bit tired to handle but I believe after settling it, I will very satisfied with what I have done. Service Learning also teaches me how to handle the programme and how to be a good treasurer because I become the treasurer for Service Learning. This course gives me lots of experiences.
