Progress Introduction

Complete the simulated UPS system

  • All components developed and designed are combined to produce a single-phase double-conversion UPS system.
  • A step-up transformer is added to increase the output AC voltage of the inverter.
  • The performance of the simulated UPS system is analyzed.

Discussion:

  • The 48 VAC of the output inverter is increased to 240 VAC by using a step-up transformer.
  • Due to many conversion stages, additional energy losses occur.
  • Thus, the system's efficiency is decreased which causes the output to be reduced as well.
