Today, I just attended the second meeting of SMU 2.0. Basically, right after the gathering for meeting, we were sit to our respective scope to inform our progress in our job. It was held at S01's surau at 9.15pm. This meeting suppose to be a short meeting but it ended up late. 

It has been a week from the Chinese New Year holiday and I am back to UTM. I wan to update the last meeting that I have attended the day before I started my holiday.This meeting was between us the MT of every Jabatan in KRU to up to date and discuss our jobs and future planning for the club.It was held at S01's surau at 9.00 pm. 

Even though it is only just the fist week of study, I've invited to attend a couple of meeting regarding of the upcoming activities or program that I involve in. In this week there are two meetings that I need to attend. One of them was last night.This is the UTM's Kelab Iqra's JKA one of the club I joined since the last semester. The meeting was to discuss the club's upcoming event which is Hari Keluarga Kelab Iqra (HAKI). We were informed with the flow of the event and task for each AJK. I'm the AJK Multimedia, basically need to design a poster and in charge of its publicity. The meeting was held at MSI and ended at 10.30p.m. 

The next meeting will be tonight. I'm sure I'll update about it soon.

My first week in UTM for this semester is nearing the end. At this I'm feeling alright with the subjects. To be frank I'm getting butterflies in my stomach after attending all of the classes as I got this thought of not excelling these subjects. Yes, it might sounds negative but it is what it is. Therefore, I must think straight and doing my best to overcome my weakness in these upcoming subject. 

All praises to Allah, I was given the chance to continue my study for semester 2 in UTM. My first semester experience was very memorable as my new things I've been through. From academic to non-academic activities really does made my stay here very worth it. The best memory from last was me getting my butt off doing so many volunteering works from in UTM to outside UTM. It helps me explore the world of Johor bit by bit and so far I'm really loving it. I just got a flashback on how exciting those jobs were and if there is any more chances in this semester I would definitely will take part all of them. My hope for this semester is I would like to participate in running events since I notice how many running events there are here and I'm feeling that I'm missing them out. I determined to bring this to reality as it will be a huge thing for me -to be an active person, training to gain some stamina and not letting my youth time wasted. Now let's move on to not a very great subject to say, my CGPA for last semester was ... I would say it is not bad. But after seeing my friends did way better for theirs, I think I could get better than 3.21. After all of that being said, i still grateful what I had and I take it as a life lesson. Yes, subject with Physics related was not really my veto, but I'm not a quitter. I know I can do my best with many help from my friends to the lecturer.  :)

In the evening, our service was not much needed so we enjoyed to watch the activities like talk and busking contest. Late in the evening, some of us help to look over checkpoint for Walking Treasure Hunt. My friends and I were arranging some of the seating spot for the night event and decorated them.

In the night, we were pretty much done to lending our hands as everything was set in the evening. So we enjoyed the big screen of the final match of AFF Suzuki Cup 2018 and performance from couple of invited artists like Siti Sarah, Ismail Izzani And Ruffedge. I was an exciting night but I were very exhausted. I wish I will be offered to take part in such activity next time

Yesterday, on 15th December, I went back to the Festival Jland  and yes iwas the second time since I volunteered myself to help for two days. It also was the second day of the festival. We need to wait for the bus to get there at 4.45 a.m in the morning. I've new friends while waiting. As soon we arrived, we perform our Subuh prayer and started to help at the registration booth for Green Run (first event of the festival). Some of us were in charge of the registration while some of the others  were in charge of giving the shirt provided. After that, the boys were asked to move some divider and  breakfast to the registration booth for the participants. We also did some cleaning job like vacuuming for the opening ceremony and for the waiting room for the performer.The stage and in front of  the stage needed to be rearranged for different activities, so we arranged chairs a lot for that day to give some spaces for aerobic and coloring contest. 

Today, I attended a meeting about an upcoming program for next semester. The program was called 'Selangkah Masuk U' if not along those lines. The objective of this program was to give the participant an exposure of university life, along with motivate them in thriving for getting accepted in their choices of university. The participants will be form 4 and form 5 orphans. I am in the Documentation department along with fellow second year student from the same faculty name Thaqif. This will be a great opportunity for me in exploring editing software and such. Actually I am a little bit nervous that I might burden him since I am just started to learn about multimedia. By the way, the meeting was about to get know each other who will together make the program a success. The program will be held at 28-30th December, the same day as the next semester break. Meaning I am not gonna go back to Selangor due to this program. I am kinda sad tho. I don't what to feel right now, tried to be okay with since I like to get involve with activities but at the same I always went back when there were break or holidays like mid-sem. 

Yesterday, on 13th December, I volunteered myself in preparation of Festival JCorp JLand. We went there by UTM van all of us were 10 altogether. I met new friends from various faculty. First, we went to the JCorp Building in Menara Komtar JBCC for a little bit briefing about the day. We were informed that the boys including me will go to Tapak Ekspo while the others will stay to help with administration works. This some of works we have done before the boys went to Tapak Ekspo. There, we did some help such as rearrange sitting places and carrying queue post to other places. Today, the festival started but I did not involve in the volunteering work today, but i will for tomorrow.

Today, I went to block M34 to attend a briefing about Festival JCorp which will be held from 13/12 until 16/12. I will be one of the volunteer of the festival to make it a successful program. The festival will be held at Tapak Ekspo in front of AEON Bandar Dato' Onn. From four days of the festival I signed my to volunteer for tomorrow and on 15th. I cannot wait for tomorrow but for now I need to get enough rest. The picture below shows the man who gave us the briefing about the festival.

Yesterday, on 11th December, me and my group organized a program about 'Tangkis Buli'. The program was supposed to be held at 'pasar malam' but due to rain we decided to conduct the program at our residential blocks. It was an assignment for UHAK 1012 where the students need to organize any program and of course make a report for it. The purpose of the program to give awareness to people about bullies. 

On 10th December, I went for a meeting at MSI to discuss about the upcoming event that was held annually which was called HAKI (Hari Keluarga Kelab Iqra'). The event will be held on the early 2nd semester this year. We were planning to do a hiking trip to Tasik Biru in Pulai (this maybe a spoiler to someone who read this post).

On 8th December, it was the next day of the preparation day of the last post and it was the day of the program was held. The name of the program was 'Back 2 School' which were organized by IKRAM an NGO. We (15 all of us) did our job well to support the program. I was given the duty to support the emcee to announce the recipients name of the  voucher. It all went well. I felt happy to get the opportunity to get involve to make the program a success.

On 7th December, we as a group went to @Mart in Kempas, to make a preparation for the program that will be held the next day. It was an assignment of subject UHAS 1172 where we need to organize or in this case help to organize a program that include the outside community other than UTM community. The initial plan was to organize an activity with orphanage but unfortunately it got disturbed due they were on holiday. So we asked our lecturer for help and suggest that we backup this program. The program was organized by IKRAM which was a Johoreans organization to help them in need and introduces to them about Islam. We went there by Grab and arrived at 9.30p.m. After the store closes, we started to arranged the chairs, set up the banner and help to prepare the voucher. 

Today, I  went for a 'gotong-royong' activity at S04 & S05. We were clearing all of the bushes and weed that grow behind of those two blocks. The activity was held  after there was a case about one of the resident of S05 got bitten by a snake. I managed to hear his experience about the bite and had a conversation about it while doing work. Before we were finished we had 'nasi lemak' that were provided and I went back to my room hoping the snake sneak in the block would never happen.

On 6th December, my group had an meeting about finishing our Circuit Analysis assignment. We were asked from our lecturer to do a circuit stimulation through a web page Multisim Live Simulator. Through this web page were able to construct circuit and let the program stimulate about the voltage and the current of the circuit. 

On 24th of November, I volunteered to be a facilitator for an event about IoT. The event was called IoT 4.0. I was surprised the event was for children and at time the children were in 3-13 year old range! While me knows about IoT in this year. The participants (the children) get to play with lego (plus electronic parts) to make a car . Then, a race was held. After that, a talk about IoT and some games. And also it was the first experience of me to be a facilitator to children. I rather there were some obstacles but other than that it was very fun.

On 23rd of November, I joined KUBL (Kembara Ukhuwah Bersama Lambaian) which was organized under clubs that under KTC that were KRU and KLM. This purpose of these event was to get know someone who was homeless thriving in their lives and do a spring cleaning in Anjung Singgah where they were placed temporarily. We also did some activities with them in hope to give a spark in their lives. In the evening, we distribute food for the ones who need it.

On 20th of November, it was Mulidur Rasul. Pusat Islam UTM had organize a celebration regarding to it. In the morning there were march along Lingkungan Ilmu. The march was joined by various organization. I was marching under KTC.

Then, there was a 'ceramah' about our prophet Muhammad SAW. Finally, all of us was invited to have lunch of 'nasi minyak'

My previous post about Bengkel Ilmu Falak Dan Arah Qiblat was occur on 19th and 20th November not on 17th.

On  17th November, I have joined Bengkel Ilmu Falak Dan Arah Kiblat which were under Astronomy Club And FABU. It was two day of workshop. A lot of new knowledge I got From this Workshop. The Sun azimuth of Qiblat for southeast countries is 122 degree. We were thought to find Qiblat using both modern and traditional way. The modern way by using the scope (forgot what the name was) and couple of ways using  traditional methods. The best part when we were using the scope was we can check our Qiblat searching apps if it was correct or not as we were inform that 8 of 10 of the apps is wrong. We can find Qiblat from shadows and tree. Since the Sun rise on the east, most tree will have a lush side. Referring to that it help to find the Qiblat. Another way is by referring to the shadow. If our right hand towards the shadow and left hand towards the Sun, the Qiblat is in direction of area of our left ribs. We also learnt to use the Sun azimuth bearing a lots of many ways.

We were also lucky enough to experience star gazing using the appropriate telescope. We were introduced to three different type and brand of telescope. It was very excited for me even we were only be able see the Moon through telescope  at that time as it was the first exp for me.

On 13th November, I have attended Muktamar PMI which is being held annually. Basically, muktamar means meeting.  In the meeting we discussed about the report from each exco. After that, we witnessed the current leaders being changed to new leaders. Only some of the leaders were qualified enough to hold their positions.

Yesterday, on 4th November I've just finished one of many of my tasks as AJK Pendaftaran for Bengkel Photoshop. By the way, I was working on it on my mid-semester break, so I've got to say I've spent my holiday wisely. It wasn't my first time using google form but still I had trouble. But In the end, everything was going fine.

It's 12 in the morning now, so safe to say yesterday on 2nd November 2018, I've joined a volunteering program organized by a collaboration of  couple of clubs that exist in UTM (two of it were Kelab Keushawanan and Volunteering Club). It was a gotong-royong activities in Desa Bakti.

It was a fun and great experience to make new friends from various background, faculty and different year which we rarely get as we were more focus on our studies daily. Also it help us to clear our mind from stress etc. 

If there are such a program in the future, I wish to participate again and  I hope I can give my energy to the community.
