SAKINAH AL'IZZAH BINTI MOHD ASRI's Reflection /
My Reflection

The Data Engineering program provided a very compact course content that fostered an interactive discussion between students, including myself. Sharing thoughts on our project, assignment, and understanding with my group members and classmates helped me to broaden my perspectives and knowledge of the related course. There have been a lot of changes in my previously superficial view of the course I want to take. Before I took my first-semester class, it seemed like I will take something more like statistics or math. However, after attending the classes, I realize that this program involves me mastering programming, simulating the circuit, problem-solving, and the Internet of Things. Don't forget three more minor subjects on ethics, graduation, and philosophy. These three subjects broadened my general knowledge of history and society. Furthermore, it improved my attitudes and soft and hard skills. I also gained new skills in job search and scholarship.

I believe that in life, everyone has a dream they are striving to achieve. I've got a lot of it that I'd like to get out of my life. One of them is to pursue my technology-related study. I choose data engineering as my bachelor's program because data helps us make better choices. I might be able to gain technical and soft skills from this course. Both skills are needed to further my career as a data scientist. As a student, I hope I can fully understand and practice the syllabus I've learned in class. In addition, my dream is to have an excellent result in each course and work in the field of technology, because I believe that the future technology industry will be wide-ranging and demanding.

After going through the first semester, I realized that I had to prepare myself more to fit into the industry. I will improve my technical and soft skills, especially in communication, programming language, software use, and critical thinking. From the Alumni Sharing,  Alumni introduced some sources such as code camp, edx, and Linkin learning that  I can enhance my skills as a programming language is a practice to make perfect subjects. Other than that, I need to be proactive in every task given by doing some research and volunteering to explain the task. Despite this, my level of confidence and communication skills can improve. Finally, I need to explore the technology needed to establish a link with the industry and take extra professional certificates. This is to develop new knowledge and skills that can be used in the industry.
