PSDA PROJECT 2 REFLECTION

PSDS.jpg

After distributing group work for this project i  began to work on more detailed about my  part which was Anova. The statistical analysis using R Studio was quite challenging for me since I had to learn them by my own and implement the analysis right away. However, the lecture notes provided on R Tutorials was very helpful in understanding R. After completing my statistical analysis on R Studio, I began reporting my findings inside the Project 2 report. I tried to relate my findings with course content and the concepts I have learnt in the PSDA Course throughout the semester.

From what I learned in this project is that, I understand more about hypothesis testing, correlation, anova, regression and goodness of fit test. I refer to the slide in the e-learning and go through slowly by narrated slides that is given by doctor. Every test need to be understand deeply and I learned how to differentiate and use the test according to the data given. I am able to detect which test statistic I am going to use for the test depends on the number of sample or the variables given. I watched some of examples in youtube to get better understanding about this coding. Consequently, all of this resources help me so well to do this report and coding in rstudio. what I have learned in e-learning and also refer to my notes if I don't understand.

it was a great experience to perform test analysis using R Studio. Compared to the previous project, as this was a group project of course it was little bit difficult for all of us because it was our first time using Rstudio  but after doing this project now  I can do  my own  research, findings and analysis freely. Also, DR NOR AZIZAH ALI was always ready to help us throughout this project. I believed that this project will be very useful for my future in the computer science field. I hope that I have more projects like this in the future. With this I end my reflection on PSDA Project 2, thank you!

REFLECTION ABOUT DESCRETE STRUCTURE

SECI.jpg

My this reflection is about  the DESCRETE STRUCTURE COURSE  which enables students to strengthen and increase the understanding of discrete mathematics with special emphasis on computer science applications. Topics include sets, number systems, the nature of proof, formal logic, functions and relations, combinatory, recurrence relations, trees and Boolean algebra.

I am studying in SECI1013 of " DESCRETE STRUCTURE"   Section 08  which are guided by Dr. Nor Azizah Binti Ali. As a student of computer science(software engineering) in UTM,  this course is a compulsory subject to be taken in first semester.

After I study in this semester about months, I able to apply basic algorithmic techniques such as greedy algorithms, binary search, sorting and dynamic programming to solve programming challenges. Besides that, I also able to apply graph and string algorithms to solve real-world challenges: finding shortest paths on huge maps and assembling genomes from millions of pieces and apply various data structures such as stack, queue, hash table, priority queue, binary search tree, graph and string to solve programming challenges.

All lectures, assignments, tasks, projects and tests were straight forward. And this whole learning process assignments comes out very beneficial.  About improvement of the course I don't have any special suggestion because the whole course was very detailed and organized but if the course would be F2F it would be better. I actually really enjoyed this course. I totally admire and respect the  efforts and hard works of lecturer towards this course.

In a conclusion, learn discrete structure let me know how to solve complex programming challenges using advanced techniques: maximum flow, linear programming, approximate algorithms, SAT-solvers, streaming.

REFLECTION ABOUT TECHNOLOGY AND INFORMATION SYSYTEM

SEC.jpg

My this reflection is about  the TECHNOLOGY AND INFORMATION which is designed to provide students with a working knowledge of computer concepts and essential skills necessary for work and communication in today's society.

I am studying in SCSP1513 of "Technology and Information System" (TIS)  Section 07  which are guided by Dr. Haswadi Bin Hassan. As a student of computer science(software engineering) in UTM,  this course is a compulsory subject to be taken in first semester.

After studying with Dr. Haswadi Bin Hassan, I gained a lot of new knowledge regarding information technology and information systems that are mostly considered interchangeable. In fact, IT is a subset of information systems. The belief that these words may be used synonymously can create uncertainty for individuals interested in pursuing a technology-related profession. While these two fields relate with computers, they have different characteristics and unique career paths that entail different training and education.

I have also learned that information technology plays a key role in accelerating the transfer of information in order to make things easier. This is how people are cultivated by a need for more, faster and more urgent approaches. The fast acceleration of modern technological innovation and creativity is a huge shift in the way people live, work and play over the years, which has contributed to a great effect on people's lifestyles. As a result, I have come to realize that, in this new day and era, information technology has become an important enabler for people.

This semester was a beautiful journey, and I truly loved every minute of it. Any week, I'd be ready to wait for the TIS class because it's one of my favorite classes. All activities were online due to the pandemic situation and all assessments were made using online resources. All sorts of assignments were submitted via UTM E Learning and all the tests and quizzes were also done using online method. The most exciting and enjoyable moment was when we got the Design Thinking Project, which was a perfect chance for us to demonstrate our inner strengths and thinking skills.

My dream/goal for this course is to learn new things as much as possible and to develop my skills, because in today's world skills are really important to our career. I would love to develop leadership skills in order to serve in adverse circumstances and learn to communicate with others, because all these things are really important to our jobs.  So, the strategy that is appropriate for me to improve my industry ability is to take care of certain crucial things. I need to know about my skills and my vulnerabilities. The skills that I already have I need to develop even more, and the skills that I don't have, I would try hard to develop those skills. I will  keep an eye on the market and know the criteria of the present times so that I can focus on that and get myself prepared. I will need to learn about innovation so that I can do better if I were to have my own startup. Basically, these are the things I need to do if I want to have a decent future. If I can do these things, I think I can do better in the industry. At the end I would like to thank to my dear lecturer, I feel so truly lucky to have a teacher who shows all of the care, understanding, and patience. Thank you for everything. We really appreciate and pray for your good health.

REFLECTION ABOUT ENGLISH COMMUNICATIONS SKILLS

UHLV.jpg

My this reflection is about the English communication skills (UHLB1112 ) course which
emphasizes the fundamental language skills of reading, writing, speaking, listening, thinking,
viewing and presenting. This course if offered by UTM to assist international students with
reading, writing and speaking skills.

Time has passed so quickly in the twinkle of an eye and our first semester is coming to an end.
During my this first semester I learned a lot of skills about English speaking, writing ,listening,
viewing , thinking ,presenting and saw the progress in myself. I'm very pleased with the helpful
as well as exciting experience, and I honestly believe it's a fortune to me. As I was a bit weak in
English speaking and Alhamdulillah through this course I improved my speaking skills a lot.
I would say that my biggest influence for my new appreciation on speaking is Lecturer Miss
Wanie. Her dedication to teaching along with the knowledge and ideas I have heard from her has
shown me that English can be fun, profound and interesting.

I really enjoyed the online course. I thought it was well planned and layed out, easy for me to
follow. The work load (h.w. & test) was just enough, but I am thankful to Allah that i finish
everything with enough time, learn about the topics and not feel over loaded and rushed. All
lectures, assignments, tasks , projects and tests were straight forward. And this whole
assignments were very beneficial to the entire learning process.

Well about improvement of the course I don't have any special suggestion because the whole
course was very detailed and organized. I actually really enjoyed this course. I appreciate the
effort put into the course.

At the end I would like to thank to my dear lecturer, I feel so truly lucky to have a teacher who
shows all of the care, understanding, and patience that you do.

Thank you for everything.
