PROGRAM PEMERKASAAN LESTARI SOSIAL MURID ORANG ASLI Reflection
The lesson that I gained is for us to conduct a workshop, we need to seek information and knowledge beforehand to make it effective. This is because without proper preparation, we might conduct an activity that does not align with the objectives of the program. Furthermore, teamwork is also an important aspect to be focused on, as this project required tons of energy and ideas to make it work and run smoothly. Communication is also key to assert any ideas or problems, so that the workshop members can solve any problems together. Also, teamwork is the key to make any goals came true. I learn a lot working with other people efficiently and we also had a lot of good memory out of it. We also had to be flexible enough in order for us to easily adapted with any issues that we encountered. The problem we face was that the shyness of orang asli, but we manage to break their shell and make them more comfortable.
The activities started from 9.30 a.m. until 4.00 p.m., it started with arrival and welcoming speech. The activity consist three slots. First slot is motivational talk by few of Psychology with Human Resource's students. Next slot is two games where students will sit in the circle. Then, a box that contains questions/facts based on self-respecting concepts will be shared in line with the song being played. After that, the student who gets the box will pull out a piece of paper and the facilitator will explain the concept contained in the paper and make a little share with the students. Next, students will be given a balloon and they required to blow the balloon then they will write down their weaknesses/ things that they do not like about themselves on the surface of the balloon. Finally, they will release the balloon together as a symbolic acceptance/ release of their own weaknesses. The program end with visit to Center for Student Innovation (CSI) UTM.
