MINI REPORT
On 18th October 2019, I had indulged myself in an activity named COLOUR SPLASH, which is one of the events included in MEGARIA 2019. This activity was held at H03 field, KTF, UTM, starting from 9am to 12pm. It aims to cultivate team spirit among the team group besides creating opportunities for KTF students to participate in their dormitory activities. The activity I had joined was successfully held on the day. The whole programme of MEGARIA 2019 was organized by the member of KTF JKM and it was a 3-day programme from 17th to 19th October 2019 for organizer and participants. Food booths were set up to sell different kind of foods and drinks. Moreover, there were also other activities such as Explorace, Zumba Night, traditional games, blood donation and so on within this period. Duration for other activities was different. Some activities welcome the outsiders to join in person.
SELF-REFLECTION
This activity was quite interesting and aggressive. We followed the rules given throughout the activity. Each group consists of 4 persons. A rubber band was given to each team. One person from my team was in-charged to wear the band and other group members were responsible to protect her so as to make sure the band not to be grabbed by others. A colour powder pack was used by one team member to attack the opponents by splashing the colour powder to our opponents. Hence, we had to map out and plan our defensive and offensive strategies in order to win the game. There was a discussion made among us before the game started. I was given the opportunity to share my thoughts and listen to my members’ opinions in limited time. I realized that the power of cooperation and leadership makes things better in our lives. Communication and understanding between each other played an important role in this physical game. Although we did not win the game, we enjoyed ourselves very much. I was glad as I was able to develop leadership and teamworking skills throughout this programme.
