- Mini report
This coding program called Code on Weekend is organized by Persatuan Mahasiswa Sains Komputer, PERSAKA. This program is held to expose participants to various programming skills and programming tools through presentations and discussions led by various experts. Here we are introduced to a new application that we have not learned during our class learning. The Flutter framework is an application introduced to participants by the mentor and assisted by several colleagues. Participants are guided on how to install fundamental software to run Flutter such as Android Studio and Visual Studio Code. Visual Studio Code is where the coding resides, and Android Studio is used to emulate your applications. He teaches participants the basics of Flutter. I feel very enthusiastic and excited to be able to participate in this activity and learn new things with my friends by following what is taught there, my knowledge increases and my insight becomes wider.
- Self-reflection
The impact of this activity that I feel is that I have many new friends again and I get more knowledge, information, and also broader insights. Because knowledge can be sought anywhere and anytime, you don't have to seek knowledge only in class. The advantage of participating in this activity is that I understand better how to make programs using a computer language other than CPP. The challenge here is when following what the speaker asks to enter the coding because we only have a limited amount of time so he manages the time as best as possible so that we can get a lot of knowledge. The way to overcome it, so as not to be left behind by what was told at that time is I stay focused on what the speaker said and told. Because once I let my guard down, I will fall behind and my program may not be perfect.
