PSDA Project 2

Framingham Heart Study

Inferential statistics are the continuation of descriptive statistic. This project provides exposure to how inferential statistics were done after the stage of conducting a survey to collect data and calculating primary information obtained from the responses. Inferential statistics are useful in research of the various field. This Framingham Heart Study demonstrated the application of inferential statistics to investigate topics in Biology field and how it helps to obtain results which will benefit the humankind. After we did project 1 and project 2, we had a complete application of conducting statistical research on descriptive statistics and inferential statistics.

At the beginning of project 2, during the stage of searching for the dataset, we were reminded to search for a dataset with more than 30 responses. This is because the larger the sample, the more accurate the results that we get in inferential statistics. We were also advised to choose dataset with lots of numeric data so that we have enough variables to conduct the study. Unconsciously, it reminded us to collect more responses with as many numeric data as we can in our future conduction of descriptive statistics for further analysis.

Throughout the working on the project, problems met were solved perfectly under the guidance of our lecturer. Usage of R PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE in this project made our work easier. I believe that r programming language would be an important skill needed for a data engineer to perform well in the workspace in the future.
