On November 22 2019, my friends and I participated in the "Program Jejak Gelandangan" located in Johor Central and surrounding areas. This is my first volunteer activity involving a group of homeless people. This programme made to help the homeless by giving them food and clothes. This program has provided me with a great deal of experience. This is because we experiencing the life of the homeless in one night. There are no place where they can sleep and many of them are old people. These homeless people have different backgrounds, some are homeless and unemployed, some have jobs but no home because the salaries they earn are enough to eat and to be sent to their villages and they are willingly to sacrifice their own comfort for the sake of the family. They even does not have enough money to buy clothes for them to wear. The lesson I got from joining this programme were I grateful that I have family that I can rely on. I hope our government can make an effort to reduce the number of homeless in our country by giving them job.
