Q. What background information is important?

As a computer science student, there is lot more to know than just software and programming. Hence background information comes to use. Background information such as how a computer is setup from scratch, how does the information technology works beside websites as well. At the same time, since software engineering is my target I got to know and accurately differentiate between system software and application software. Among all these, system input, input and output, secondary storage are on the list to be considered some background knowledge. Acquiring these background knowledge is of immense importance since a software engineer mostly deal with the computer during his or her career.

Q. Why does this skill matter? What insights did you gain?

This skill matters a lot because as mentioned above me being a software engineer in the near future hopefully will have to deal with a personal computer most of my career's lifetime. As a matter of fact, when to work with what and how to when it comes to a personal device such as computer, laptop as well as internet , software frameworks and websites I have to do most of it myself.
To briefly explain what insights I have gained from this course; first of all, I learned the fact that to be a software engineer I got to know a lot more than people generally from other engineering fields. On the other hand, software engineering is heavily based on technology and not to mention technology  evolves faster than the blink of an eye thus I necessarily have to be fast understanding and cope myself with sudden adjustments in order to synchronize with this tremendous pace and undying evolution of technology.

Q. What would you like to learn more about?

Since I just started my bachelors course in software engineering I am looking forward to learn more about application and web developing languages. Start contributing to some side projects to clarify my understanding on the current software engineering market. Once I have a strong sense of software engineering, sooner or later I want to learn more about artificial intelligence.
