CHEE SHEAU WEN's Reflection
Today is 16 November 2019, today is Saturday. Our lecturer of Graduate Success Attribute, Dr Marlina Ali wanted to proceed the STEM program at Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Daya, Johor Bahru. The Program will be accompanied with 34 students by UHMT 1012-46 – Graduate Success Attributes of Azman Hashim International Business School (AHIBS). I am the one of the AJK of Community service STEM program at SK Taman Daya came early.
At 9.30 am, the AJK of Community service STEM program at SK Taman Daya came early. We separate the materials what we wanted to separate to groups. And then, Eileen noticed the other classmates about meeting at the mentioned place on time on WhatsApp. Luckilly, I remember to ask Alissa that to bring the spunch hole. She quickly went back to hostel to take the spunch hole. And then, we stayed at bus stop kolej 9 (K9). We noticed the other classmate to wait at bus stop k9. At 10.00 am, the bus was coming. We check the attendance and noticed that the international students have no yet come. But a few minutes, they come and faster to meet together. We all to get on the bus and leave for Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Daya. Before depart to the aim, we prayed together.
At 10.30 am, we arrived Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Daya. That day is a sunny day and the hot temperature. We wait at a waiting place and looked around to the school. There have many students, kids and their parents or family. About 5 minutes, our lectures, DR. Marlina came and want us to a big shed. After we reached the shed, we saw many tables and chairs at there. I think that is for our team to do our STEM activities, because there have seven tables, and also we have seven activities.
At 11.15 am, we cleaned up the tables and started assigning job for groups. Group 1 is process the activities of Tissue Paper Parachute. The AJK of group 1 are Nada, Arfah, Atikah, Afiqah. Group 2 is process activities of Straw Circle Paper Plane. The AJK of group 2 are Aishah, Reveka, Danusree. Activity for group 3 is Balloon Power Car. The AJK of group 3 are Rohimah, Syifa, Daniel, Azley. The activity of group 4 is Paper Helicopter. AJK of group 4 are Nazureen, Amirul Shah, Alya. Activity for group 5 is Pyramid Cup. AJK for group 5 are Hannan, Izyan, Maisarah. Activity for group 6 is Cup Flyer. AJK for group 6 are Mikhail, Kajen, Adam. Last one activity for group 7 is Popsicle Stick Catapult. The AJK of group 7 are Rafi, Farid, Fifi
Firstly, it had not students to come and played. AJK came out and tried to push this program to the students of SK Taman Daya. Finally, some of the students came and started to try the activities. The activity of Straw Circle Paper Plane is not interest the students, so, the AJK tried to change the other games with throwing the cups inside the other cups. The most interest of students in activities is the activity of Popsicle Stick Catapult. Besides, we also buy the sweets to students.
These activities were including the skills that we learn in the class. That were Communication Skills, Thinking Skills, Scholarships skills, Leaderships and Teamwork Skills, adaptability, Global Citizen and Enterprising Skills.
In this STEM program, we learn about how to lead your team to be best and to cooperate between the classmates and also the others. So, we were so glad about we process these program and this program was successful.
Finally, we want to thank you for our lecturer, DR. Marlina that approve this program and process it. And also thank you for my teams members, Hasry, Nana, Alissa, Malka, Ronald, Nabilah, Chin Ye Ying, Eileen, and Chong Kwei Yan. They are helping to arrange the works, to communicate to other people, to rent a bus, and be my best team.
