Bayu Camp 5.0 by Perwakilan Mahasiswa/i Sabah UNIVERSITI TEKNOLOGI MALAYSIA (PERMAS UTM)

On the 21st and 22nd September 2018, PERMAS has conducted a 2 days and 1 night camp called "BAYU CAMP 5.0" in Pasir Lanun  which objectively held to i) build relationships between the fresh intakes and also the Sabahan seniors ii) and also to give them a brief orientation of what UTM has to offer and also an exposure of the events held by PERMAS UTM.

I am one of the MT for PEMAS UTM, hence the director of the event has chosen me to be the head unit of multimedia. Thus, I have worked hard to design the logo, certificate, the setup throughout the camp and also to be their 24/7 photographer. 

It was a challenge when we had to deal with the short circuit that happened because of the water heaters. However, we dealt it professionally. Even though there were minor problems that has prevented the camp to go as smoothly as we imagined it to be but the participants gave us positive feedbacks nonetheless! However, hopefully in the future, we will able to manage and anticipate any problems before conducting an event. 

The things I have learned:

1) Be punctual

2) Be adaptable

3) Be humble

4) Be professional dealing with problems

5) Accept that everyone make mistakes

6) Keep giving updated reports to the person in charge

7) Be responsible 

8) Be creative dealing with problems

9) Always keep a plan B just in case Plan A goes wrong

10) Be forgiving
