Starting from 11th June 2018 to 30th August 2018 (12 weeks), I was offered a placement for Industrial Training (IT) at ROHM-Wako Electronics (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (also known as RWEM). RWEM was established in Pengkalan Chepa, Kelantan in 1989. RWEM is one of ROHM Groups (HQ located in Kyoto, Japan). RWEM is a semiconductor manufacturer. The company main products are LED and diode.

During the internship period, I was placed under Diode 3 Division and assigned under Wide Small Signal (WSS) department. Throughout 3 months of IT, I was supervised by the section chief of the department, Mr. Asri Bin Razali. WSS is a new department in RWEM and the main product produces is Ultra Mold Diode 2M (UMD2M).

During the training, I get a chance to chance to work as different roles. Those are manufacturing engineer, production system engineer, production control engineer, and quality control engineer. The main tasks given are machine maintenance, find out the causes of abnormal, find the countermeasure for each abnormal, issuance workslips for daily production, judge the abnormal, test the good product, send sample to ROHM (Japan) and etc.

The chance I had to undergo my internship in RWEM was a wonderful experience and a right training ground for me to immerse into real work environment. It is such a pleasure for me to work with such an incredible group of people in RWEM and also could not be thankful enough for their sincere guidance for the 12 weeks. I would like to thank everyone for extending their friendships towards me and making my training such a great experience ever.
