Sharing my opinion for learning and teaching improvement in the end of semester

  • Provide practical learning session to expose to the future working style such as an outdoor project in small scalar.
  • Provide more interesting, challenging and outdoor activities to make this course more interesting and interacting. It would involve people surroundings and related to welfare and charity. This is one of the social network programs that students can applied during involving the career stage.
  • Give different types of report writing assignments such as journal, technical report, etc. to increase student’s writing skills.
  • Expose more technology for students to give an inspiration in Electrical Engineering application
  • Improve the ways of teaching process to make this course to become more fun by doing a pop quiz which is not in written on the paper.
  • More lecture sessions that give the basic information of electrical engineering news around the world.
  • Motivate the lecturers to increase the teaching skills by providing nice and colorful slides. A lot of study around the world found that color or symbol was able to increase the learning effectiveness by 70 percent.
  • Provide talks by a well-known successful engineer or businessman to expose to real challenge engineering experience and for inspiration such as the CEO of Tenaga Nasional Berhad, TM International, Petronas and etc.
  • Organize more activities that can tighten the relationship between students and lecturers to prohibit the awkwardness between them such as an engine camp or barbeque.
  • Provide more project by grouping to enhance soft skills and teamwork because the current project or report writing are more to individual since the students are new and still learning to do in the proper way.
  • Use global approach. For example, international networking between all the first year Electrical Engineering students from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Massachusetts Institute of Technologies (MIT) in sharing the way of university life and academic development.
