Performed FOD walk in the morning to eliminate any foreign object damage found on the apron. Any obstacles that is contaminating the apron is eliminated and handed over to Safety Officer for further evaluation. Of course today's FOD walk is more detailed as an aircraft is about to depart from the same apron and any small objects can get sucked into the engine if left intended.
After a grueling week of fixing the Trans Air B737, the aircraft is finally certified fit to fly again and the flight crews arrived around 9:00 am to fly the aircraft back to Hawaii. Around 10:30 am, the chocks and platforms are removed and the auxiliary power unit (APU) is switched on. Minutes later, the two JT8-D turbojet engine roars into action and the sound of the engine is so loud that it can be heard at next hangar. Everyone prays that the aircraft will depart on time without having to go for another time and money consuming maintenance.
Apparently, everything went normal and the aircraft is officially out of the AAE hangar and every crew have done their best.
