On 24th April 2018, Kelab Kelana Siswa under UTM Kuala Lumpur conducted a COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PROGRAMME @ PASURUAN (HIJRAH'18) for one week. In this program, I was appointed as a Head of Public Relation and Communication which is the position that I don't have any experiences before. All the committee in this program is really good and easy to work together.

The program is being implemented to help Pasuruan people to help in terms of generating the economy, caring for their children and promoting volunteer culture among the campus people, especially students and staff of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur.

We collaborated with 3 local universities which were UPNM, UKM and UTM Johor Bahru. There were also students from Indonesia, STMIK and STIE Yadika Bangil joined us for this program. Total of 60 students and 5 executives from Malaysia joining this program. Special thanks to Prof. Madya Ahmad bin Haji Khalid as the head of students affair of UTM KL that gave a lot of advices and guidance about the whole program and also Puan Shazura Azreen that never give up to support us as higher committee throughout this program. I also want to thanks my friends from others universities that always support me all the times when during things hard.  Troubles, disappointments, discouragements, loneliness, demotivations and rejections motivated us...really learn a lot.

4 months before program, we as a committee members give a hand find a lot of sponsorship to support allowance and the charity there. Our main purposes are to renovate a madrasah and build toilets for poor people at Gendro. Besides, we also have a lot activities with people there along the week such as fun science, community sports, cultural night and mountains more. We achieved our main goal and had a great time interacting with the locals there and their culture.

The community service accomplishment that I'm most proud of is the work i did to help renovate the madrasah and organize a cultural night as an emcee.  As a result of my community service, i gained hands-on experience in construction. I learned how to paving block and use a hammer and nails. Working on the madrasah could be challenging at times, but it taught me to appreciate the value of hard work and be more willing to pitch in when i see someone needs help. In conclusion, i learned a lot from my community service and i hope to keep volunteering and learning more about people around me.
