In this semester 2 for 2018/2019, I'm taking a subject called "PROBABILITY AND STATISTICAL DATA ANALYSIS". The sub subject in this subject are data analysis, hypothesis testing, two proportions, chi square and more. There is a topic about "probability" which i do not like but this probability in PSDA is different from other probability. Well, I can say that i love the probability in this subject. As we know that, every subject do have their own project. For this subject, the project are divided into two parts. It is called Project 1 and Project 2.
In Project 1, my group (me, Amanina, Fatin Hazirah, Saeed Hashem) have to pick a topic that have different types of data such as qualitative, quantitative, discrete and continuous data. Our topic also have to include the different scale and measurements of data such as ordinal, nominal, interval and ratio. For the data collection, we have made a survey on our topic which is "Online Privacy And Security Awareness". A very big thank you to the respondents for helping us completing this project. After we have collected the data, we have to plot the data by using bar graph, pie chart, histogram, box-plot and stem-leaf plot.The work of plotting the data into different charts and graphs had been made easier as we are using "R-programming" as our tool in this Project 1. Through the data plotted , we have to find the mean, median, mode, percentile and quartile with its skewness, variance, standard deviation, mean and kurtosis if there are any. Now i know how to use R-programming.
In Project 2, based on the data collected, we have to choose two variables (ordinal data or interval/ratio data) to make a relationship between them to have results produced form SPSS. SPSS is a tool that we used in our Project 2.It also makes our work to be a lot more easier. We are using the SPSS to calculate the results for one sample test, correlation and regression. Since we used interval data, we had used Pearson's product for correlation and we gain the least square equation for simple regression. Below is a video from my group as we present our Project 2.
Throughout this projects, i had gain knowledge on using the tools for statistical data analysis. I also had improve my knowledge on writing a hypothesis statement and making inference based on the results produced. With the help from my lecturer, Dr Noorfa Haszlinna Bte Mustaffa and my friends, i could not understand more about this subject. Thank you for the contribution on helping me and my friends to achieve success on this subject. Dr Noorfa is the best lecturer that I've ever had and i wish that she will be teaching me in any of the subjects in my next semester. I hope i can implement well in the future with the knowledge that i have if i ever encounter any projects like this again. Thank you....
