i got opportunity to undergo internship for 3 month in Daido Metal Co., Ltd. in Nagoya, Japan. I was put under Research and Development (R&D) department which lead by Mr. Nakano. Daido Metal Co., Ltd in Nagoya, Japan focusing on production of metal-polymer bearings, engine bearings and metallic bearings. This product is used in automobile, industrial machine and others. My job under R&D department was to analyse the alloy and polymer bearing composition and test their strength and tear properties. I had done a lot of high level of bearing polishing as to observe under microscope, therefore there must be no scratches when viewing the polished bearing. The purpose of R&D department in the company is to do research on their and competitors products for the sake of Daido Metal products improvement. Work in Japan is a whole new experience as it need high team working skills, discipline and communication skills.
