TASITA DARISHINI A/P K VEERAMANI's Reflection /
Group Project SKEE 4012

For the group project, two groups need to combine to work on a single project title. So my group (Group 5) combined with another group (Group 10) and after combining, we have total of 5 members. They are Nabila, Abdullah, Izzuddin, Bazli and I. During the first meeting, we did brainstorming to come out with a project title. After further discussion, we then decided on the title and the objectives.

Proposed title: Students' Perception on Cleanliness in FKE, UTM

Objectives:

1. To find out the perception on public cleanliness among students.

2. To rate the students' awareness on Solid Waste and Public Cleansing Management Act 2007 (Act 672).

3. To compare the awareness of cleanliness among male and female in FKE.

As for the task distribution, we first focus on the literature review. Each of us looked for 3 references each and came out with 4 main topics to discuss in the literature review. They are on littering, related act, girls and boys perception and also the importance and awareness of cleanliness. Each of us also came out with two questions for the questionnaire.

As for the respondents, the targeted number is 40. It is divided as such:

10 first year students (5 male and 5 female);
10 second year students (5 male and 5 female);
10 third year students (5 male and 5 female);
10 fourth year students (5 male and 5 female);

Task distribution is as follow:

Abstract- Izzudin
Introduction- Bazli
Literature Review- Tasita, Bazli, Izzudin and Nabila
Methodology- Nabila
Results and discussion- Tasita and Abdullah
Conclusion- Abdullah
References- All

Based on the results obtained from the survey, the cleanliness issue in FKE is well recognized as the results outweigh, however, the respondents in their two main groups, male and female, was found to be ignorant of the consequences stated in Malaysia’s Solid Waste and Public Cleansing Management Act 2007. These consequences, if were widely recognized, can serve as a motive to minimize littering overall.
