NURSHAFIKA BINTI SHAHLI's Reflection
Reflecting back to my first day at Dar energy, it was one of the most memorable days of my time at work. After being introduced to everyone, I was handed a task to work on, in which they had asked me to do some project like doing the spreadsheet based on the data they given to me. They were very friendly and nice to teach me even though I am intern in the company. This instantly made me feel comfortable and definitely made me feel as though I was part of the team.
During the first week of work completing the task, I was overwhelmed by the work and the responsibilities that were placed on me, but with the help of my supervisors and the colleagues, who have had years of experience in the industry, I felt more confident and supported as I knew my work would be double checked and any uncertainties were explained. By observing and learning from them, I managed to pick up tips and learned different types of skills, from learning to communicate and deal with other people, to reading and deciphering many different types of plans.
This internship was an invaluable learning experience for me because it gave me a huge amount of independence as well as responsibility. Running a whole task by myself was a daunting challenge, and without proper mentorship I might have struggled, but instead I was pushed to work hard and exceed my own goals for the internship. By the end of my internship, there was presentation on my work that some of my lecturer including my head of department and other staff of Dar energy coming in that day. It was nervous and excited event for me and gladly I got some positive feedback from my lecturer.
This is our presentation on chemical kinetic and reactor design subject which each individual need to present the solution for the problem that was given by Dr nabilah. The picture show that the group member that are present the solution.
With my group member, we are presenting the mini project for subject thermodynamics title "Carbon capture and storage of industries " which gave the confidence to talk in front people and cooperate with my teammates. Its a lovely memories for us.
When i take this subject (thermodynamics) , at first i thought it will be easy and simple but actually this subject is really hard for me because i need to understand this subject well in order to answer the question.It need to think and analyse the question and you need a strong of basic knowledge in order to answer this subject. I hope i will do well in my final and get the best result for this killer subject.Before that , the end of this subject our lecture Dr.Nabilah , gave us a task to do the presentation on topic of Carbon capture and storage in industries. It really memorable memories that me and my group spend time together to finish the assignment.Then, we need to present it to class which it make me feel nervous and excited at the same time. There is a picture that all my group present the presentation in the last day of this subject Thermodynamics.
