Nowadays, social media are everything to the teenagers , Everything will be said and post on the social media’s especially for those who are photoholic. Photoholic has been defined as someone who constantly like to take pictures everywhere he or she goes.With this era, posting pictures into social mediahas become a trend which also cause the good and the bad effects to the teenagers.
There are fews of pros and cons being a photoholic. Firstly, photoholic helps you to build your self-confidence which important for growth and it also helps in networking.
"You see a lot of reports in the media about the negative impacts of technology use, and we look very carefully at these issues here at UCI," said senior author Gloria Mark, a professor of informatics, according to Science Daily. "But there have been expanded efforts over the past decade to study what's become known as 'positive computing,' and I think this study shows that sometimes our gadgets can offer benefits to users."
However, it may exposed the teenagers to criticism and cyber bully, This is because the pictures may tell different story for other people. People may feel threatened or dissatisfaction with your capabilities and your wealth. Besides that , a lot of cases happened when the teenagers tend to do bad things just to impressed other people when they cannot afford to. These cases usually happened as everyone is chasing the fame started by th photoholic.
Other than that, a photoholic may skip a beautiful live moment as a photoholics are always busy with the camera or phone. Despite,of having few moments pf the nature lively, photoholics also may keeps all the memories to be cherish in the future as every moment wont be forgotten for both the good times as well as the bad. Besides , memories wont stay forever and the pictures were takens to reminds the great time.
People nowadays accept photographs as presented and don’t even bother to verify them,they believed it as it is.They also struggled to identify which sources were legit and which weren't, and often ignored things like the authenticated tick on verified Facebook and Twitter accounts. Most Twitter and Facebook user didn't suspect potential bias in a tweet from an activist group and they just thought that it might or might not be a good data source. Most people couldn’t see any valid reason to mistrust a post , therefore it lead them to believed that the post is real and post or retweet it to other people.
First of all , we should make people understand the real meaning of a photo which is means a made-up issue with an intention to deceive, often geared toward getting clicks. In order to overcome the threat of a fake photo, it’s important to know where it comes from and what makes it tick. Nowadays , people should not easily believe anything that they hear or see , especially ads on the television or on the internet.Mo st of the ads on the television and the internet has been edited or photoshop to make it look interesting, cool and different from other company products ads.If they really interested with the ads, make sure to do a research about the ads or see other people doing review about it. Most of the review can be found on the Youtube. By doing so, people can prevent their self from getting trick by the owner of the ads and also help others from getting trick,this can help to change someone minds which is they wanted to buy the product as a present or the product is for their self but when they saw or heard a lot of negative review about the products they refuse and change their mind to buy the product and decide to choose other product.
People also loves to spread picture or posts without knowing the validity of the news or rumours that their spreading, especially on Facebook,twitter and Instagram.Some did it for fun but ,some did it because they care and some just follow other people.This will cause a riot or problem to the person involved or the victim of the photom. So, before spreading or retweet some news or posts, make sure that the photos is real and editted. Find the source of the news or photos if possible and if the photos is not true, prevent yourself from posting it to others and make sure to report the photos. If you still see people spreading the edited photos , comment on the posts that the photo is fake and tell them to spread the news that this photo is editted.Even though you are not sure that the photo is real or not, it is better not to retweet or post it in order to not harm innocent people.
As the world getting more advanced,this problem also increasing.So, we the younger or next generation which soon will be the future leader that will lead the world should have a good way of thinking and act wisely because the future is in our hand. We are the one who will be responsible that will decide either the world will succeed or fall to pieces.We should spread positive instead of negative.We don’t really know how a simple positive word can affect someone lives,how we can easily change someone lives with just a simple and nice advice.
