  1. How to begin the group

 

  • Ketua kumpulan perlu mesra, percaya, memahami
  • Impression (kena buat acah2 baik)
  • Sesetengah kumpulan, mesti formal

 

Another common mistake:

  • Pengenalan terlalu lama

 

  • Non-judgemental (Judging, criticizing or moralizing does not facilitate client’s self disclosure but instead induces guilt)

 

  • First session:
  • Brief statement
  • Buat exercise pengenalan diri (melukis)

 

  • Start with long opening statement tentang tujuan atau conduct introduction exercise (3-5 minit)
  • Pengenalan kauselor (Latar belakang pelajaran)
  • Beritahu group ini tujuan untuk apa.
  • Leader akan sediakan sedikit material untuk bincangkan tajuk dalam group tersebut. Contoh self-esteem (ada 4 bahagian)
  • Kemudian leader akan minta setiap orang perkenalkan.

 

  • Start with long opening statement, then get right into content the group.
  • Leader start dengan content, sbb kat sini klien dan kenal leader dan diberitahu kepada leader masalah diorang.
  • Education, task group
  • So leader dah tahu masalah dan kenal mereka dan terus masuk ke content.
  • Lagi satu, mungkin member terlalu ramai. So ambil masa yang lama.

 

  • Start with a brief statement about the group; then get into the content
  • Leader dah kenal. Then terus masuk content yang nak dibincangkan

 

  • Start with a brief statement about the group; then have the members form dyads
  • Peranan pada leader.
  • Minta member lain beritahu pendapat member lain

 

  • Start with a brief statement about the group; then have members fill out a short sentence-completion form
  • Leader dan Ahli dah kenal satu sama lain, jadi dia buat sesi kedua
  • Leader beri 5 soalan dan meminta ahli untuk isi tempat kosong.

 

  • Start with an introduction exercise
  • Leader akan buat exercise
  • Ada 2 tujuan :
  • Member perkenalkan diri
  • Fokus pada content. Minta persepsi daripada members dalam 2-3 ayat sahaja berkaitan dengan content atau mengambarkan perasaan awak sekarang.

 

  • Start with an unusual opening—one that grabs the members
  • Leader plan untuk buat trick datang lambat (tajuk : berkenaan dengan time management)
  • Tanya pendapat member, apa perasaan awak bila saya datang lambat……..
  • Contoh lain: (Communication: Leader dan ahli pakatan buat trick cakap buruk – tanya pendapat member lain berkenaan dengan kes tadi)

 

  1. Helping members get acquainted

 

  1. Education/ discussion purposes- help members remember names
  2. Growth/task/support groups- share relevant information about themselves

Leader may also have members share

  1. Reason for attending the group (niat)
  2. Expectation of the session

 

Kaeadah introduction:

  • The name round: round table
  • The repeat round: Acap, Acap Naz, Acap Naz Wan
  • Dyad: Pair 2 orang (cerita sesame sendiri) Dr. Nasir kenal kan danial- Danial kenal kan Dr. Nasir
  • Repeated dyad (kenapa dia datang sini, expectation,…)

  1. Setting a Positive Tone

 

  1. Intonasi kena sesuai dengan keadaan.
  2. Enthusiastic (Positive Tone)
  • Setting a good tone for nonvoluntary groups is very important
  1. Dos’
  • Get everyone to share (bagi peluang semua orang share)
  • Get Enthusiastic (Energy, bersemangat walaupun sakit)
  • Be warm
  • Get control early and let people see you incharge the group
  1. Don’ts
  • Biarkan group focus kepada benda negative
  • Seorang conquer the session
  • Biarkan member attack each other
  • Banyak peraturan-peraturan yang annoying
  • Menganggap diri berkuasa (authoritarian/demanding)

 

  1. Clarifying the purpose

 

  1. Explaining The Leader Role

 

  1. Explaining how the group will be conducted

 

  • Leaders should clarify during the first session how they plan to conduct the group.

 

  1. Helping members verbalize expectation

 

  1. Drawing out members during First Session
  • Jangan paksa untuk mereka bercakap
  • Written Exercise (Member akan rasa fair dan selesa apabila kita minta dia share the information
  • Beri skala 1-10 tahap keselesaan.
