Reflection on PC assembly
On 1st November 2017, our lecturer, Dr Noorminshah organised this PC assembly class at computer lab of Faculty of Computing.
From this class, I got to know a lot about pc tower and its components. Our lecturer divides us into a group of 5. So each group got one pc to be operated. So the task was to unplug all the components inside the pc. For the first time I know how to operate the pc and unplug all the components inside. It was challenging at first as the components is so small and the wire is too many, but with help of lab assistant, the process become easier. The was a lot of components inside such as motherboard, central processing unit (CPU) also called a processor, RAM, hard drive, power supply unit, expansion cards, video card and sound card. Besides, we need to write to plug and unplug the pc. We need to remember every step so all the components are placed at the correct position.
Besides, I also learned that it need patient to handle such hardware like this. If not, you might break the tiny pieces of the component and might injure yourself as well.
In a conclusion, it was a very interesting activity and I got so many knowledges about PC. So now I can operate my PC by my own.
