Enthusiastically, I am continuing exploring and improving e-portfolio but this time I am no longer learner of portfolio. I now share my experiences and knowledge with first year student in UTM and teach them how to create their own e-portfolio.  I started my hours of teaching with a small briefing about what is e-portfolio, why we create it and who will benefit from it. Then I started to show the student how to create e portfolio. During the session I have noticed many students who have the   spirit and the desire to have their own e-portfolio. so I was pleased  and happy seeing the great response from the student in learning e-portfolio.  Therefore I have taught them all features on e-portfolio and they really started to make their portfolios and successfully have done it. On the other hand some of the students were just like being the class and somehow not welcoming the idea “e-portfolio” well. But gradually they started to work but without that spirit or desire. They just do it because they are required from the faculty to do it. So I wonder why minority of the student are like that and I started thinking “ is e-portfolio not useful tool or the problem from the students themselves?” then I found out that e-portfolio should have some useful features in order to attract those students and make e- portfolio their friend. These features can be a small window for chat because this will bring the students attention. So students can academically communicate with each other even with lecturers. Another feature to be added to e-portfolio is to make student have their own theme because e-portfolio reflects the person and tell who you are so by letting students have their own theme it is a way of reflecting and telling who you are. Finally this is what I have noticed during my teaching.

On fourth day I can say that I almost familiar with all mahara functions and can use them. On this day I earned something new such as link something to its original website. I also learned a new thing which is making a slid show that mahara does not support.  I did my last editing and I am ready for final presentation tomorrow which will be the fifth and last day for this project.

On third day i mostly did good work in order to make my e-portfolio and this is because the difficulties I faced on first day and second day were solved or found out an alternating way to do what I could not do when I faced those difficulties. I am  almost done with my e-portfolio and I was ready for presentation which it was useful for me because I  was given some suggestions  from  my friend and DR. Wardah to do some modification in order to improve it. This is what I have done on third day.

In second day I was very excited to use mahara and explore more more about it. I scanned all my documents and upload them into Mahara to make my e-portfolio. I make three categories for my e-portfolio which are career Development, Academic and personal Development. I used every resource in maharah to make my e-portfolio but with less challenges if we compare with first day. I faced only a small obstacle which is that mahara does not have   the function of creating photo album. this is my reflection about second day

UTM- portfolio was a new term for me which is i had no idea about it . but from today it is no longer a new term . i have gained at  least general ideas about it.. i have learned what is it means, why and how it should be created, who should  be useing it, and what tools we should use in order to create it?

I also  learned that mahara  is the aid or the tool which can be used to design UTM- E-portfolio. Here in UTM  E -portfolio can benefit from it students and lecturers. they can save a back up of thier documents . Students can also identify thier weaknesses and mistakes and then  try to minimize it  . lecturers can also assess  students through E-portfolio.

then i learned a basic  concepts on how to create  a UTM E-portfolio  . from what i have NOTICED about this program  is i faced some difficulties such as i could not upload a profile picture which has big pixel size.  The 50.00MB Quota seems to be  not enough. this is all what i have learned about E-portfolio for first day.
