I took part in the International Day Celebration, which was arranged by the UTM Human Resource Development Students (SMART), on May 13, 2023. I signed up for this program in order to learn about festivals in different nations, such as Indonesia and others. I was also able to witness many varieties of clothes showcased by Indonesian students thanks to this event. Initially, I found it somewhat odd as I had never seen their clothing in Malaysia. I was able to determine that the clothes were not from Malaysia after hearing the event presenter clarify things. The event showcased the diversity of cultures and traditions, allowing participants to gain a deeper understanding of different festive attires. It was fascinating to witness the vibrant colours and intricate designs of Indonesian clothes, which added a unique touch to the overall experience. Additionally, this program offers students the chance to learn about the various Raya cuisines from many nations. The food served at Raya by Indonesian students differs from that served during Raya in Malaysia. Additionally, this may increase understanding of Indonesian culture. In addition, a variety of students take part in this program in order to learn about Malaysian food and Raya customs. Their appearance is appealing. Furthermore, there are several fascinating activities and performances available. Moreover, this program provides a platform for students to interact and build friendships with peers from different backgrounds, fostering a sense of unity and appreciation for diversity. Lastly, this programme also offers opportunities for students to engage in community service projects, allowing them to make a positive impact on the local community. Additionally, participating in this program has expanded my knowledge and appreciation for different traditions and customs, making me more culturally aware and open-minded.
