As a new leader, I have been learning how to teach all the basic skills to new debaters in the easiest and fastest way possible. Before taking on this role, I was worried that I might not have the ability to lead 12 debaters. I worry that they might not understand what I'm trying to say or that I don't know how to answer their questions. However, with the help of friends and experienced seniors, I gradually gained a foothold. Unknowingly, my leadership skills and sense of responsibility were gradually established.
This event taught me that I don’t have to face problems alone; I can ask for help from my teammates, and the feeling of being part of a team is very satisfying. When you have a support team, all major issues can be resolved. In this teaching process, I also learned a lot. Before leading a training session, I need to review the materials in advance, find suitable training activities, and test them repeatedly to ensure their effectiveness. Although this process was a bit stressful, it was still very meaningful to see everyone's serious and positive speeches.
