Reflection

I worked with my team as one of the committees for the Earth Day Poster Competition in order to hold this competition. We made the decision to hold the competition one week before the Earth Day, which falls on April 22. We intended to give each participant a week to create and submit their poster to us.

Jie En and I have been tasked with creating two posters to advertise our competition to all UTM students in our capacity as the Multimedia & Technical Department. To encourage people to participate in our competition, we will utilise both of these posters. My boyfriend and I have thus agreed that we would each create a poster and incorporate all the information inside the poster. Additionally, I had asked my director for some samples of posters that had been created for prior events so that we could use them as a guide. After that, Jie En and I will exchange our posters with one another to check if anything was overlooked. Prior to using these posters to advertise our competition through an internet platform, we will present it to our director and other committees for their review. The process of creating the poster taught me that it's not simple to fit all the information on one sheet, and that we must be creative in order to do it.

Additionally, it was asked of our department to prepare certificates for each participant and the committees. When Jie En and I were designing the certificate for this competition, we also used some references from earlier certificates. This time, Jie En and I decided to use two different designs for the committee certificate and both participants. While Jie En will be created for the participants, I will be created for the committee's certificate. After a few days of creating, we were satisfied with our design and began to put in the names and matric numbers of each committee and participant within the certificate. We insert their information slowly out of concern that we could enter the incorrect name or matric number of them. Additionally, we'll go over each certificate several times to make sure that the name and matric number are all accurate.

Finally, I was pleased that the tournament went well and that a lot of people participated. I've had an opportunity to see a variety of Earth Day poster designs, and I really like several of them. I want to express my gratitude to my director, my partner, and the rest of the organizing committee for their efforts in making this competition possible. As a member of the organizing committee, I genuinely learn a lot from this tournament.
