Mini Report

I took part in a contest to design an Earth Day poster that the UTM Green DNA Club organized. Since Earth Day falls on April 22 every year, the competition was held online over the month of April. As a member of the competition's organizing committee, I took the role of Multimedia & Technical Department. This contest's primary goal is to increase community awareness of the state of our cherished mother Earth. Taking care of and defending our mother Earth is a duty that falls on all of us.

We had prepared for this competition by having our director, Ng Jun Kiat, conduct a group meeting with us to review the details of this competition. After that, we proceeded to develop the competition proposal so that it would be approved by the club Advisor, Prof. Lee, as well as the UTM I-league. We had to wait a long time for clearance, but we still started the tournament on time. My multimedia department partner and I created a poster and published it on every internet channel to promote our Earth Day Poster Competition to all UTM students. We had also planned some rewards for the winner.

One week before to Earth Day, participants have the entire time to register and submit their posters. We continue to spread news about our competition to everyone at UTM throughout this time. Finally, after the submission deadline had passed, we had gathered every participant's poster through a Google Form, and we were going to send it to our club's club advisers for evaluation. Additionally, we made the decision to include a further form of assessment in which we will put participant posters on our club's Instagram account. The winner will also receive the gifts that our club has provided and will be the poster with the most likes. Three days was the time limit we had set for the evaluation.

All of the committees were ecstatic since the competition went off without a hitch. We also wanted to thank all of the participants, as well as our club advisor, Prof Lee, for her support.
