Teamworking Skills

1) Mini Report:

The HAKE Traditional Games and Batik Painting event aims to revive and promote traditional games in our community that are significant from a cultural standpoint. The event, which was held on June 8, 2023, at Dewan Serbaguna KTDI, gave attendees a lively setting in which to engage with and learn about our rich cultural heritage.

The gathering drew a sizable crowd, and enthusiastic players of all ages took part in the activities. Students, families, and staff from all walks of life actively contributed in building a warm and inclusive community.

There were 4 games and Batik Painting held during that day:

1) Congkak: A sizable audience gathered to see the traditional game of congkak. Playing strategically, participants demonstrated their talent for numbers and judgement. Simple yet difficult gameplay encouraged friendly competition and teamwork among players.

2) Batu Seremban: Popular with both kids and adults, Batu Seremban is a traditional game of agility and hand-eye coordination. Participants impressed the audience with their skill in tossing and catching the small cloth bags as they displayed quickness and precision.

3) Galah Panjang: Participants came together in a feeling of oneness while playing this game of collaboration and coordination. Teams battled against one another, showcasing their quickness, agility, and ability to strategize while navigating the court.

4) Baling Selipar: Throughout the occasion, people laughed and enjoyed themselves while playing the funny game of baling selipar, which involves tossing flip-flops. Flip-flops were used as projectiles, and participants tried to toss them precisely and hit targets while having fun.

5) Batik Painting: Allowed participants to unleash their creativity and explore the art of traditional batik. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the history and techniques of batik painting.

In conclusion, the HAKE event's showcase of traditional games turned out to be an astonishing success. Participants thoroughly enjoyed playing old-fashioned games, which promoted cultural appreciation and improved ties between communities. As the Bureau Chief of Traditional Games and Batik Painting, I could not be more pleased with how the event turned out and how it benefited our community as a whole.

2) Self Reflection:

As the Bureau Chief responsible for overseeing the Traditional Games and Batik Painting activities during our Hari Kebudayaan 2023 event, I find it necessary to reflect on the overall experience. An aspect I value is the collaboration and support received from instructors, volunteers, and the organizing committee. Their expertise, dedication, and enthusiasm were instrumental in the success of the Traditional Games and Batik Painting activities. Working alongside such passionate individuals was both inspiring and rewarding, and I am grateful for their contributions.

However, I must be honest about the difficulties that arose throughout the event's planning and execution. It was difficult to manage the time limitations while also coordinating logistics and making sure the necessary components were available. In order to quickly resolve any unforeseen challenges, careful preparation, efficient communication, and flexibility were essential. Nevertheless, I was able to improve my organisational and problem-solving skills thanks to the worthwhile learning opportunities these problems offered.

Finally, I would want to express my sincere gratitude for the chance to lead the Traditional Games and Batik Painting Bureau. The occasion gave me an enjoyable and enlightening experience, reminding me of the significant influence that cultural events can have on people and communities. I bring with me priceless lessons gained and a strong respect for the rich diversity of the cultural legacy that we have the opportunity of preserving.
