I had the privilege of attending a highly informative event called "How To Get Started with Real Estate Investing: A Smart Approach," organized by PEHARTA UTM on March 31, 2022. En. Mohd Fariz Helmi Husain, the Senior Manager or Chief Executive Officer of Pemodalan Negeri Selangor Berhad (PNSB), was the guest speaker for the event. En. Mohd Fariz Helmi Husain shared invaluable knowledge on intelligent real estate investment and emphasized the importance of acquiring the necessary skills in this field, especially at a young age. The event covered a range of topics, including the characteristics of real estate investments, such as stocks, bonds, and gold. En. Mohd Fariz highlighted the key players involved in real estate transactions, such as valuers, agent brokers, and property bankers. He stressed the significance of preparing essential documents like the Sales and Purchase Agreement (SPA), Bank Loan Agreement, and Transfer of Title to ensure a smooth investment process. En. Mohd Fariz motivated students to make informed investment decisions when it comes to real estate. As someone who often gets absorbed in academic theories, this event served as a wake-up call, reminding me of the necessity to take real-world action. While I had acquired knowledge about real estate investments, I had yet to apply it in practical situations. The event highlighted the significance of stepping out of my comfort zone and actively engaging in hands-on experiences.
