I remember participating the First Year Experince program organized by the Persatuan Sains dan Teknologi (PESAT), Fakulti Sains on 17th September 2011.
It wasn't much at all, though. In the morning we had to register ourselves. Then, there was an aerobics session. I believe at 9.30AM they started the Explore Race activity, where we were separated into 10 groups consisting of participants from various courses (within the faculty) and had to run around the faculty to get to 10 stations and fulfill the tasks given at each station. There were also brief talks about our departments in the morning.
After lunch, there were more activities but they were carried out indoors. We had to present on specific bicycle parts and play "The Broken Stereo".
In short, I guess I could say that everything went well. Despite the many absenties, PESAT had planned everything out quite well but I'm sure they would've done much, much better. That's okay, though.
From FYE, I got to get to know some more people from my faculty, I got to present in front of everyone (my favorite part) and I think it was a necessary thing to do to jump start every student's university life.
