After the application and interview session, I was appointed by the Cores as a member for Content Creation Department. This department is a crucial and one of the busiest department among all as we were the ones responsible for recruiting speakers and stage performers. I believed we were also can be considered as the speaker's temporary manager, since we communicated, negotiated, arranged schedule for the speakers and stage performers.
As an initiation, potential speakers were first filtered by the whole TEDxUTM2022 team according to their background, theme-relativity speech contents, and English fluency. This was done to ease our department in benchmarking speaker's potential according to our goals. Then, an invitation email as well as virtual meet and greet was done to get to know the speakers better and gave full explanations for them before officially signing documents to be our speaker. Multiple discussions were made upon their ideas to share with audience as well to make sure it aligned with theme set - Fulcrum.
TEDxUTM2022 were held virtually which was quite difficult to retain the confidence and spirit of speakers, including the technical issues such as Internet connection as well. However, thankfully, with the supports from team and audience, the event was held successfully and received many constructive feedbacks for the betterment in the future.
