LEE JI SIAN's Reflection
Reflection (WEEK 15)
Last week, we have been given a class by Dr. Radzuan for teaching us how to use 12D Model and AutoCAD to complete our work of traverse and detail survey. Although it is not a very hard work, but I still need some time to remember the step to complete the work.
Beside, we also have been through test2 for Engineering Surveying last week. I feel satisfied with my result and hope I can also get a great result in my final exam.
Finally, I am looking forward to the survey camp and I also hope I can done a great job in survey camp.
Reflection (WEEK 15)
Time was so fast, this is already the last lecture week for my 1st semester. I was being through the fundamental Geotechnic competition last week. Although we just make a mess, but I so appreciate that all the lectures for not being harsh to us. I want to say sorry to all the lectures for let them down, and I feel very thankful for the words from lectures and I will try to change my attitude of study in UTM.
Finally, I want to say thank you to all the lectures that have been teaching me in this semester and sorry if I did anything worng or inappropriate.
Reflection (WEEK 10)
The result of test 1 is finally come out after mid-sem break, I’m quite satisfied with the result. Although our test 1 result had just come out, test 2 is closing and it will be two week later. At the same time, there is a lot of assignment need to be handle. I hope myself can settle all those assignments and spend some time to study engineering maths. I also wish I can get a good result in my test 2.
Reflection (WEEK 10)
After back from mid-sem break, it is already week 10 for me to study in UTM and final is closing.
However, after the lecture on Thursday, the introduction to the branches of civil engineering Is finally over. Here, I want to say thank you to all lecture for spending their time to having class with us, I feel appreciated.
At the same time, the end of introduction class also mean that the competition of civil engineering fundamental has come. I was categorized into Geotechnics competition group, I will try my best to get a good result in the competition.
Reflection (WEEK 5)
It was a busy week for engineering mathematics 1, because on the coming week 6 it will be a test 1 for engineering mathematics. This is the first examination test that I will having in UTM, I feel quite exited and tention. However, I will to listen to my senior’s advice and try to do my best in the test.
I have well prepare for the test and hopefully can get a good result.
Reflection (WEEK 5)
It is already the 5th week I study in UTM, although it is quiet busy everyday but I still enjoy my uni life in UTM.
In fundamental classes, there are three different branches in civil engineering that have been introduced. Where they are
- Introduction to Structures and Materials – by Prof. Ir. Dr. Mohd Hanim Osman
- Introduction to Transportation – by Prof. Ir. Dr. Hasanan bin Md. Nor
- Introduction to Environmental Engineering – by Prof. Dr. Azmi bin Aris
Due to the class is always held after i having my survey pratical, or held on Monday night (8pm-10pm) where that is the day I have to start my class at 8am and finish at 6pm, I unable to keep focus myself on the class. However I still push myself and try to understand what the lecture said.
I feel thankful for all the lecture that having fundamental class with me, and I want to say sorry to them also because of didn’t paying full attention on the class.
Reflection (WEEK 1)
As I know, UTM is the only university which provide Civl engineering fundamentals course among the university in Malaysia. So, I was excited and really looking forward to having the class. In the first lecture class, Prof. Dr. Khairul Anuar bin Kassim, our dean of faculty of civil engineering, have gave us an introduction to civil engineering and the roles of civil engineers, which is our job in the future.
Form the class, I find out there are many branches in civil engineering which is structural engineering, environmental engineering, transportation engineering, hydraulics and hydrology engineering, geotechnical engineering and construction engineering.
I feel grateful to Prof. Dr. Khairul Anuar bin Kassim for having us in the class, the introduction given is interesting and the explaination of all the disciplines of civil engineering is clear and easy to understand.
My dream is to become a structural civil engineer, hopefully I able to join the structural group and getting more information about structural civil engineering.
Reflection (WEEK 1)
In 1st week, our lecture of engineering mathematics, Pn. Zaiton, directly give us a simply briefing about the course, and we started our 1st chapter : FURTHER TRANSCENDENTAL FUNCTIONS.
Chapter 1 is talking about hyperbolic function and inverse function. Hyperbolic function is new for me, while inverse function is almost the same as i have already learned in STPM, it just involving a little bit of hyperbolic function.
I think I able to handle chapter 1 of engineering mathematics, after I finished the tutorial of chapter 1, and I try to look for more lesson about hyperbolic function to increasing my understanding about it.
