Mini Report: 

Minggu Mesra Mahasiswa Ijazah Sarjana Muda also known as 3M is an orientation program for the new intakes of undergraduate students which is held to welcome, assist and introducing university to them. Due to the number of Covid cases during that time, the program was conducted remotely however only the crews working physically in Dewan Bouquet of UTM Kuala Lumpur during the day and Bilik Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar on the night. This program was held for both UTM Johor Bahru and UTM Kuala Lumpur. However since UTM Kuala Lumpur is only branch, therefore majority of the programs were conducted by Activity Unit from UTM Johor Bahru. There were only few slots which involved of the faculty and residential college only were handled by Activity Unit from UTM Kuala Lumpur. 

I was elected to be the crew of Activity Unit, represented UTM Kuala Lumpur where there were only 2 crews under this department including me. The role of Activity Unit UTM Kuala Lumpur was to liase the activities for the new students with UTM Johor Bahru to ensure the program run smoothly. Apart from that, the attendance of the students also were monitored by Activity Unit and ensure all of the students attend and join the activities that were held during the orientation week. Apart from that, Activity Unit UTM Kuala Lumpur also need to handle and organize activities for UTM Kuala Lumpur's new intakes during the faculty session, college session and games during leisure time to build a bonding among the students. All of the activities were rehearsed beforehand and there were some meeting held among the all crew of Activity Unit from both UTM Johor Bahru and Kuala Lumpur to discuss any changes, rules and enquiries. Once cleared and the meeting finished, my partner and I need to explain the outcome of the meeting to all crews from UTM Kuala Lumpur to avoid any circumstances and clashes. 

Self Reflection:

Being a leader is not an easy task. It is indeed very challenging as you need to consider the advantages and disadvantages of one decission in any event. Therefore, communication and teamworking is important in order to obtain a successful output. When working in a group, there should be discussion being held among the group members to avoid any circumstances. 

By joining Minggu Mesra Mahaiswa as a crew, it taught me on how to be a leader when working in a team and communicate with each others to avoid any issues. Along the program, I faced with few issues as there were sudden changes on the activities. An urgent discussion meeting among the Activity Unit's crew was held to cleared all the issues. Later, the issues were upbring to the UTM Kuala Lumpur's team to tackle and outcome the obstacles. The ideas and supports received from the crewmates were indeed excellent as all of the crew had each other's back and we all have a great cooperation among all units. Moreover, I also have gained confidence to voice out my opinion and communicate with new contacts during the orientation week. In conclusion, communication among all the crews are very crucial to create a good relationship and teamwork.
