First and foremost, I would like to thank Dr.Azurah Binti A Samah, our Probability and Statistic Data Analysis (SECI 2143) course lecture, for providing this opportunity and for helping in my ways in completing all the tasks which includes project, assignments, and this e-portfolio too. I would not be able to finish all the group and individual assignments without her. Dr. Azurah has also done quizzes where it helps me to identify my progress, knowledge and understanding of the 8 chapters. I would like to thank Dr.Azurah again for the effort taken to conduct classes synchronously almost every week during mid-day and the continuous patience.
Within 3 months, I have learned some statistical techniques as tools which R programming and Microsoft Excell to analyse the data. In the beginning, I was exposed with various forms of data. The data represented by the different types of variables are derived from different sources, daily and industrial activities. The analysis begins with the data representation visually. This course also helps me to explore some methods of parameter estimation from different distributions. Further data analysis is conducted by introducing the hypothesis testing. Some models are employed to fit groups of data. At the end of this course, I was able to apply some statistical models in analysing data using available software such as R programming.
Moreover, through this course, I have gained knowledge and skills through investigations of different ways to collect and represent data and describe and analyse variation in data. Through practical examples, I understand some statistical concepts, such as data representation, variation, the mean and median, bivariate data, probability, designing statistical experiments, and population estimations.
